CANNES 2024 ⭐ Recently I was honoured to be invited to @festivaldecannes as an actor for my short film @dog_days_shortfilm 😲

By no means am I a star by any stretch of the imagination, but man, going to Cannes and walking those famous red steps have been a childhood dream of mine.

Being at Cannes was surreal. Seeing the press, the famous Grand Auditorium Lumière, Théâtre Claude Debussy and the entire Palais de Festivals was genuinely a whirlwind experience.

I met some absolutely incredible people at Cannes from all around the world, saw some beautiful films and ate way too many McDonalds to save money (I had like 1 everyday 🤢), but I really want to thank my director and the cast of Dog Days that gave me this opportunity 🙏

Too many to name but @carlottabeckpeccozfilm, @bethgabbitass_, @thewoodbrothers_dops, @addison_aston, @jamescwactor, and everyone else who worked on Dog Days, you lot are amazing! 💜

It was my first time there, but I know this won't be my last 🙌

😍 Nepal is like walking on a dream

150km+ travelled over 14+ days through the Himalayas.

We experienced every weather condition, multiple terrains and, looking back, even getting lost alone in the mountains in a snow storm at 5200m of elevation and seeing avalanches happening live infront of us and landslides that went on for miles was a wild experience 😂

Everest Base Camp was absolutely incredible, the whole trip was completely unforgettable and Kathmandu is also a place I'd love to go back to one day. 🌇

But it's not over..

🗻 Everest..

I'll be back and I'm going to summit you. 🤘

I GOT MY BJJ PURPLE BELT TODAY! 🟣🎉🥋

This is an especially meaningful achievement for me for a few reasons.

I remember my first ever BJJ class at Phoenix MMA in Bournemouth while I was still in 2nd year of uni. Micah Atkinson, my coach at the time, paired me with someone to show me the very basics.

What is mount?
What is guard?
Wtf even is BJJ and what are you meant to do in this martial art? I had no idea.

What I do remember is Dave, the guy who I was paired with. He was a purple belt and I remember thinking "like damn he must be committed to this" 💀

As a new white belt I remember training against purple belts and felt like they were so, so far above me, it almost felt superhuman. Although the blue belts would also crush me, I distinctly remember feeling completely helpless against the purples and above.

My first few impressions of BJJ were purple belts.

Their level felt like an unattainable, far-away feat at the time.

Today, the black belts still beat me pretty fast, and I am far from anything remotely considered superhuman, but it's humbling to finally be here. At purple belt. Although this is technically the middle of the journey, it feels a bit full circle.

Thanks to my coaches @judesamuel_ @yustazato @davsinghc, all the black belts and everyone at @ingloriousgrapplers

Congrats to everyone else who also got promoted 👏

When my ankle is healed up, time to compete again 💪

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 10 SOLD OUT shows, 1000s of flyers and 100s of angry landlords saying we should be arrested for hate crime later (see previous reel)... Edinburgh Fringe you were a dream come true

Never been to the fringe festival before (blasphemy for an actor I know) and most of my acting portfolio is dark and serious, so when I got the opportunity to do a farcical, slapsticky comedy called "How To K⚡LL Your Landlord" for a full run at Edinburgh, it was meant to be.

Thank you to everyone who made the (very expensive trip) to Edinburgh to see me and everyone who came and showed support at the sold-out previews at Red Lion and @draytonarmssw5. It means a lot! 🤙

This was an intense process of almost 6 months of rehearsals, multiple script changes and a hell of a lot of flyering (which was a highlight btw - loved it) and ended up being everything I could have asked my debut Edinburgh show to be.

And huge shout out to the cast, crew and the staff at Bedlam who made this all possible. Love you all 💜

Came for a pizza, ended up getting publicly serenaded 😂

Tbh it eased the pain of waiting 50mins for my takeaway pizza from THAT pizza place (if you know, you know).
