Sometimes, when person give you chance, man gats take “chanceses” o! 😂😂😂

So I had to meet up with Femzy @djfemzey, a DJ at Lounge FM, to collect some songs I needed to practise with as instructed by my DJ mentor/trainer, Tiny Braz @tinybraz. The opportunity to meet Femzy was facilitated by no other person than my plug of life, Dozie aka The Oracle @dozman_power. 🙌🏽

Na so I see one cool lady sitting down, doing her thing on her iPad, and trust your guy to strike up a conversation. 😎

Chiny Godwin @chinyonradio_ - CG - introduced herself as an OAP anchoring the Morning Show, Monday to Friday. Sharperly, I asked if she would consider taking me on as her mentee.

She said yes. I couldn't believe my ears! 😂

Unfortunately, I only attended “classes” twice before 9–5 came calling again and threatened to take the opportunity away from me.

Fast-forward several months. An opportune chat with CG revealed she had moved to the weekend show, The Weekend Lounge, and that I could resume training.

She didn't need to tell me twice. The following Saturday, I teleported myself to the studio! 😂

I expected to sit back and observe, but my Madam beckoned on me to join Mrs Jones @ameme_jones & Uche @mr.tazz52 and add my toro kobo to the gist: Who does marriage favour more — men or women?

Na so I tell myself: “Say less, my Madam. I was born for this!” 😂

And e be like say the gist bang ooo… because I hear say ratings even go up! 😁🔥

I've been a regular feature on our gist-oriented Weekend Lounge since then, and at this rate, e be like say dem go need serious negotiation before dem fit tell me to comot. 😂

In fact, I dey even plan to proposition them to sign me up permanently sef! 😎

My fellow mentee and now gist partner, Faith Marcus @royalthicknessss, has also been a great friend and feature along the way. ❤️

So here's the lesson: When opportunity gives you a chance, TAKE CHANCES!

Sometimes, you don't need to be fully ready. You just need to step forward, bring your value, and make the opportunity count.

Abuja was a whole vibe! 🎶🔥

From an incredible turnout to engaging conversations, powerful panel sessions, and some really insightful performances, the Music Business Summit delivered!

I had the privilege of joining the “Who Really Gets Paid?” conversation, and the real reward was what happened beyond the stage - great conversations, new connections, interesting opportunities, artist management conversations, interviews, and plenty of creatives creating and connecting.

The networking afterwards? 🔥🔥🔥

This is what happens when music, business, and people meet in the same room.

Grateful to have been part of it. Abuja, you showed up! 🚀

Talent can open the door... but knowledge keeps it open.

Honoured to speak at What's On Your Playlist Live Experience @whatsonyourplaylist_verachukwu with Vera Chukwu @iamverachukwu , sharing thoughts on building sustainable music careers and what artists need to put in place before success comes.

One thing I keep saying:
Don't wait until you blow before learning the business.

I'm also glad I could create an opportunity for three amazing CBAFA artists—Dammy Lion @iamdammylion1 , Nina Shezz @ninashezz and M Show @mshowofficial - to perform and share their gifts with a new audience.

The work continues... one conversation, one artist and one opportunity at a time.

There was a time I was sitting in the audience, taking notes.

Earlier this year, I was on stage sharing them.

Grateful to the team at Music Marketing Conference Africa (MMCA) @mmcafrica_ for the opportunity to contribute to an important conversation on The Business of Music Marketing in Africa.

What made the day even more rewarding wasn't just being on a panel alongside respected professionals in our industry like @stephneybass & @bhig_wye, it was the conversations that happened after the session.

The questions.
The feedback.
The new connections.
The shared ideas.

They reminded me that knowledge becomes truly valuable when it's shared.

Still learning.
Still building.
Still contributing to the future of African music.

The journey continues 💫
