It’s been about 3 weeks since I turned 45! My amazing husband, daughter, best friend and part of my village showed up and out for your girl! I was surrounded by about 45 of my folks! We danced, laughed, hugged a lot and just had the best time ever! I’m filled with joy and gratitude! STILL THAT GIRL! ✨BEEN THAT GIRL 🫡AND WILL REMAIN THAT GIRL💯 ***sings*** from the 🔝 of the morning I SHINE✨ I love y’all! I love life! I love the amazing lessons and blessings life offers! This past Sunday was nothing short of magical! Our daughter CHOSE to be baptized and to witness this amazing community she’s found in Dallas warmed our hearts so much! As a parent we find ourselves praying our children find love, connection, peace and their individual spirituality and she’s done just that. To say I’m in awe is an understatement. I’m speechless. I’m grateful! I’m honored to have been chosen to be the vessel you entered this world through. Im so thankful for the amazing person you are, Kyira. I enjoy all of our moments. I’ve learned so much from you. I’ve taught myself new things as I call myself teaching you. 🤭The parenting phases are REAL. It’s different parenting a kid and parenting an adult. Parenting you as an adult has been such a joy! To watch you STAND FIRMLY in your beliefs, honor yourself each day and hold true to your values regardless of the noise and the distractions is such a great feeling!!You’re a true and real one! I’m not only honored to be your mom but to also be “one of your little friends” 😂 well, one of your best friends. I often think “what would Kyira do or say” or “let me tell Kyira this!” Before I react, I think of you and most of the time I end up not reacting. I hear you “mom, for what? Don’t even respond!” My girl! My forever why! It’s always us! Dad and I are just so proud of you! We enjoy spending time with you and talking through all life’s stories. What a unit we have! When I say a time was had, that’s an understatement!! This last Saturday we gathered and loved on each other. It took me the longest to pull last month’s FAMILY WYD check in together! 😭 but here we are! A few things… videos started coming in on Memorial Day and came in throughout the first week in June! Happy Friday!!! 🥳Sent out a text to some family yesterday and asked them to drop videos of what they were doing right at the moment (30 seconds or less) We WORK, WORSHIP, CHILL, TAKE CARE OF FAMILY AND WORKOUT!!!
