𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆-𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀

I think one of the greatest sources of human misery is something I call
𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.

Every man carries a picture of his ideal self.

A castle on a faraway island.
A city on the mountaintop.

The person he could have been.

Then reality doesn't match the picture, and the mind begins:

“𝙄𝙛 𝙄 𝙝𝙖𝙙 𝙙𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨…”
“𝙄𝙛 𝙄 𝙬𝙖𝙨𝙣'𝙩 𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚…”
“𝙄𝙛 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙝𝙞𝙢…”
“𝙄𝙛 𝙓 𝙝𝙖𝙙𝙣'𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙙, 𝙔 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙙.”

That's where the trap begins.

We take a possibility and quietly turn it into an assumption.

Then the assumption becomes certainty:

𝗜𝗳 𝗫 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 → 𝗬 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 → 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗳 𝗬 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱, 𝗜 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆.

But how do we actually know?

We don't.

We have created an alternative life in our imagination, removed all its possible problems, kept only the things we wanted, and then compared that fictional life against our actual one.

And we grieve the fictional life as though we actually lost it.

But the same mechanism works in the future.

“𝗜𝗳 𝗜 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗫, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗜'𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆.”

So the castle moves.

The job.
The money.
The relationship.
The house.
The status.
The achievement.

We keep telling ourselves:

“𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗜 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲, 𝗜'𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗼𝗸𝗮𝘆.”

Maybe the real problem isn't that we want the castle.

Maybe it's believing that our happiness is waiting inside it. by @iamgemsnoah

I joined a single and mingle group.

Every single person who has introduced themselves wants to marry a God-fearing and kind person.

The problem is that it's easier to profess kindness than to practice kindness.

𝗧𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗱. 𝗗𝗼 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱.

When it comes to the game of paid acquisition, targeting does not exist.

It's about pattern interruption and behavioural modelling.

Once you understand this concept, you'll be able to run profitable paid acquisition on any platform.

Most self-acclaimed gurus are unknowingly selling using this method while selling you a non-existent targeting playbook.

On every platform, you'll find a couple of hundred thousand to millions of sea of wanderers who are in the market but not interested in buying anything.

Among them is a small group of people whose wallets are always open to pay for things that catch their attention.

You've got another group who genuinely want to buy because they've been looking for a solution.

The question is:
How do you find that small pocket of buyers in a sea of wanderers?

No targeting will save your ad budget.
Do this instead...

Create at least 5 ads targeting a broad sea of wanderers.

Among them, you'll find that small group who wants to open their wallet.

You interrupt them with your bold call-out messages.

Your platform calls it a creative.
