For the past year, I’ve been working on a documentary with my friend and amazing filmmaker @garyscaife_.

It’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a while — not just make a documentary, but make a documentary about something from my city and something I really care about. I don’t think I’d be able to do it if I didn’t care about it.

This documentary is about @milburnmusic album Well Well Well, as it turns 20 years old this year. We wanted to celebrate it by documenting how and why it happened.

I’m happy to say we made it — and it’s amazing. We’d love to share it with you on the 25th of October at @the_steamworks in Sheffield, where we’ll be screening the film and doing a Q&A with myself, Gary and a few members of the band.

The night will be hosted by Warp Films’ very own @amy_rosanna.

TICKETS will be released on Friday, so I’ll be sharing a link then. by @iamgoldteeth

So excited to share the start of my latest personal project ‘People behind the music’ . In-between commissioned shoots over the last few months we have been meeting up with musicians in the environments that their music is created.

I couldn’t think of a better way to start than chatting with Arctic Monkeys original bass guitarist and all round talented Sheffield musician @iamgoldteeth

Andy Nicholson loves the emotion that music brings him. When asked about a career highlight Andy humble as ever simply said “Finishing any piece of creative work is a highlight” and that there has been many over Andy’s career so far.

We chatted about what’s next but for now Andy just wants to keep playing his instrument and creating new and exciting things.

“Don’t listen to anyone and if you think its good then its good” an amazing quote when asked about what advice he would give somebody entering the music industry now.

And finally we asked the hardest question for any musician. To name his top 3 records of all time. Absolutely solid choices I think you will agree.
Massive attack - blue Lines
Bob Marley - Rastaman Vibration
Dr Dre - 2001
