This one really hurts.

I met Chris Apostle at the China Club, back in the Stone Ages, when I was a resident DJ and Chris was booking the talent. Those were some of the greatest days of NYC nightlife, and I never could have imagined where that friendship would eventually take us.

Chris went on to become Tommy Mottola’s right-hand man at Sony, and along the way he became one of the people who truly believed in me. He connected me to some of the biggest remix opportunities of my career, Jennifer Lopez, Thalía, Luis Miguel and so many others.

But Chris was never just a connection or a business relationship. He was my friend. He had a way of making you feel like you mattered, and he never forgot where people came from.

I’m incredibly grateful for the doors he opened, the memories we shared, and the friendship that lasted long after those China Club days.

The music business has lost a great one, but I’ve lost a friend.

Rest peacefully, Chris. You were one of the good ones. ❤️ by @iamhexhector

Ray Caviano worked on some of the greatest dance records of all time, many of which played a huge role in defining my earliest days as a DJ. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting him in person, we shared a wonderful rapport online, and I always appreciated that connection.
The world has lost a true dance music giant, whose contributions to the music we love will never be forgotten.
Rest in heavenly Disco peace, RAY. ❤️🪩 by @iamhexhector
