Look how far God has brought me. Thank you to Reverend Mack of the NCAAP for inviting me to the State Gala. It was an honor to meet Congressmen James Clyburn, Congressmen Steve Horsford, Congressmen Joseph D. Neguse and the Honorable Congresswoman Terry Sewell. Always look what God did. Jeremiah 29:11-13

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. taken in Alabama State University by @iamhisson_nutron

On May 2, 2025, at 8:45 a.m., I officially became an ALUMNUS of THEE Alabama State University — Goode Ole Mother Dear. My time here has been nothing short of transformative. I came to ASU unsure of what the future held, but by Summer 2022, I found salvation in Jesus Christ, and everything began to change.

There were dark moments. I nearly dropped out — until ASU called and offered me the opportunity to be a White House Scholar. In that moment, I knew God wasn’t finished with me. Since then, I’ve served in leadership roles across campus: UPAAB, NSLS, Collegiate 100, and more. I attended six national conferences in Atlanta, D.C., and Las Vegas, learning the value of networking and purpose.

Most of all, I thank God for saving me — from sin, from shame, from silence. He has delivered me from homosexuality, pornography, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, anger, and unforgiveness. I now walk in purpose, and I’m living proof that freedom is possible through Christ.

To my family, friends, mentors, and those who took a chance on me — thank you.

Jeremiah 29:11

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."

Psalm 23:1

"The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want."

James 1:2-4

"My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing."
