The past year and a half in NYC broke me down, then built me back up.

I went through heartbreak. I felt loneliness even in rooms full of love. I poured almost everything I had back into a dream I couldn’t fully explain yet. And somewhere between the pressure, uncertainty, and growing pains, I had to learn how to keep going without knowing exactly where it would all lead.

But pressure makes diamonds. And when everything burns, we learn how to rise.

A phoenix lives in me, and it does in you too.

For every creative who’s questioned whether the dream is worth it.
For everyone who knows they're meant for more.
For those carrying the weight of life, yet still holding fire in their chest.

The Kulture is living proof that transformation is possible. That failure can be fuel. That art is survival.

dear golf,

fifteen years later, I’m thinking about everything you quietly gave me, from the countless class absences to the dehydration, the brutal tan lines, and 10+ hour days walking under a relentless sun… and of course, the post-round sushi dinners that somehow made it all feel worth it.

but beyond the grind, you gave me something deeper.

you taught me discipline when no one was watching. patience when nothing was going my way. you introduced me to people who raised my standards.

as I step into a new chapter, I realize the real lessons were never about the score, but about growing alongside others, showing up for each other, and becoming better for it…

one swing at a time.

“What we inherit. What we choose.”

I started @jujuondajem to connect- but along the way, it became a way to reclaim parts of myself I was taught to quiet.

As an athlete, I was trained to mute my desire for beauty. No nails. No makeup. Just discipline. But power doesn’t require erasure and beauty was never the enemy of focus.

This shoot was a return to culture, craft, and self. A reminder that tradition grounds us, but never holds us back.

Thank you to the dream team who helped build something that will live beyond this moment.
