Hound and Snake, 2026. 30inx40in. Oil on canvas. Framed wood/metal. #4 of Hound, and series.

Here, the golden hound rears backward, frozen in a primal, diagonal state of psychological shock.

It is framed by a sweeping celestial or predatory arc, trapped within an architectural matrix of heavy geometric fragmentation.

The introduction of the snake introduces a timeless, universal archetype of hidden danger, shedding skin, and sudden adaptation.

Bathed in a saturated, high-stakes crimson void, Hound and Snake stands as a powerful testament to the human-nature cycle:
an uncompromising visualization of what it means to face a threat, endure the landscape, and fiercely survive.

To be displayed during @miamiartweek @reddotmiami Dec: 2-6th, 2026.

Hound and Mirror carries a mysterious, psychological atmosphere that explores themes of identity, alter-egos, and the spiritual self.

The piece features a prominent, hound figure on the left, looking directly into a circular mirror on the right.

Inside the mirror, a reflection stares back.

The long, pointed ears, elongated snout, and stylized almond eyes heavily evoke both the Mexican Xoloitzcuintli a guardian of the underworld in Mexican folklore, and Anubis, the ancient Egyptian God of the underworld and guardian of souls. taken in Underworld by @iaminwater

Like many pieces in my art journey, I have often shared randomly through stories and highlights. Sometimes without true dedication or direction.

I am happy to share and introduce The Hound series, as the beginning of a new era within my art.

I have many other projects to come as well.

I share very little about myself. I started actively painting March of 2025 with different mediums after 2 injuries and a chronic illness that has impacted my every day interactions.

2 injuries to my arm and hand have left me with struggles to continue being a musician, something I have cherished since I was a teenager.

Being able to teach myself a new way to be creative has been wonderful, and has opened many doors for me. Some which I didn't believe were possible.

"Hound and Bone" being #1 in The Hound series is part of a bigger puzzle that connects the cycle of the Human experience within nature.

Throughout my life I have cherished animals. Especially dogs, which have been long time companions for me.

The Hound series introduces trust, betrayal, admiration, dedication, and the Human condition.

Feel free to take in and analyze "Hound and Bone" and step away from the textures, figuration, and technique. These are not quite important.

Of course, I will have my own ideas within the work I create and present. Either way, I would love to hear your thoughts.

I just painted this a few hours ago. No touch ups, no initial plan, just thoughts.

Thank you @rob.ober for introducing me to this war film.

It has been wandering in my mind. Especially within the work of Philip Guston, and how he wanted to get, "inside the mind of evil."

There is fire, which makes space for rebirth. Then there is fire that leaves decay without healing.

I can't seem to see an end to the decay in Humanity, even in the present.

May we all find salvation.
