Designed some Chinese Merch for Ludwig’s Tip to Tip China.

Was a really fun opportunity to design a collection that represented a part of my culture and the challenge of trying to create something that felt authentic without feeling appropriating.

Special thanks to my mom for being our cultural consultant and making sure we didn’t misspell anything.

Last month I turned 30, so just like everyone else on your feed, I’m making an Instagram post about it.

Over the past 5 years I’ve loved asking people around me when they started feeling like an adult, because if we’re being honest, even now, I still feel like a kid. Not because I’m in denial about the age I am, but more because I still feel like I am constantly trying to figure things out and there’s still so much I don’t know. Life still feels just as scary and overwhelming as it did when I graduated university. I mean, ask me if I understand how insurance or taxes work, or if I went to the gym this week, or how healthy I’ve been eating lately.

I’m writing all of this to say that I think getting older has been about becoming more comfortable and appreciative that I can be in a position where I get to still look at my life with wonder, not feeling like I’m trapped by mundanity but constantly learning and excited and honestly even fearful of what comes next.

This past month has really shown me how blessed I am to be surrounded by my loving friends, who support me and let me live the life I live. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of my life, big and small and everyone who celebrated my birthday together with me. 🫶 by @iamjasonpun

In 2023, I went to see Polyphia in London and on a whim decided to send a DM to Tim about working together. Fast forward 3 years, and I’m incredibly proud to be able to finally launch Original Sin. Those close to me know just how much this project means to me and how surreal it’s been. It’s been a difficult couple of years, but being able to finally share this with the world really does feel like it gives a greater sense of purpose to everything that’s come before.

I just want to give a special thank you to @thew6rst, @safehaven_hq, and @nickholman, for trusting my team with this project and standing by us through the craziness of this last year. And of course, to my incredible team, @felixtemple, @cathydont, @ee_martinez_, and @laleezyy for never giving up on me and continuing to believe in me and the work that we do. I will be forever indebted to all of you and I’m glad we get to share moments like these together.

Lastly, to our incredible crew who helped make the shoot come to life. The world’s biggest thank you goes to @__caspe for putting up with all my bullshit, and staying up late for nights in a row to make this happen.

I won’t lie, 2024 sucked, but that’s okay.

No one reads these but just want to say thank you to everyone who’s been a part of my life this year. Through the ups and downs, it’s the people around me and the moments we shared that got me through it all. I hope we all get a little bit (or a lot) closer in the new year.
