POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

One day many years ago I decided I wanted to make beats. I made hundreds of them and shared it online. After like 3 volumes of beat cds, I find out that my beat was the soundtrack to the timeless classic club banger “I Look Good”. That song “put me in the game” so to speak. I became a independent contractor for Sony Music Group. At the time, I was just starting my recording studio, enjoying life as a full time creative and active father of two amazing kids. Well one is grown now but anyways, many casted judgement on me for not leaving my city and “chasing” that music dream. Ironically I had already achieve the two dreams GOD gave to ME alone in advance in a vision for that season of my life. I chose to stay and run the legendary #RadioReadyRecordingStudios for 15 years! I’ve seen many careers start and blossom and my joy came from working hands on with creatives that had the passion to create. In the process I gained over 20k hours of experience in the studio and #IYKYK Lots of legends stopping by and many studio stories. I decided to close the studio and I produced “Live in the Garden” as my closing finale. The city wanted that forever but to me it was like a mixtape of sorts. Anyways look how that platform inspired the culture. Its like 50 Live in the Gardens. It’s a win 🤣🥇I took the time off to mourn the closing of my studio. I thought I was going to retire but GOD had other plans. Last year during a prayer I told GOD I was going to use the gifts he gave me to help people. That same month Sony emailed me asking for sample clearance! I know it’s GOD up there giving me signs. The success of the songs, Grammy consideration, and all the accolades were put in motion before any of us knew it. I think GOD writes the best songs because this is all playing out like poetry to me 🙏🏽 Oh yeah and I’m coming to London to see that show live! @sonymusic @sonymusicuk @rachelle_jl I look forward to an amazing show, a smile and a hello #WithLove🙏🏽💚 #ilookgood #onmymama by @iamjbraye
