First of many!

Man oh man what a ride!!! I am overflowing with gratitude for this band, the team that worked so hard to put this show together, and the audience for their love and acceptance while I learn and grow.

Thank you to;
@annahoustonofficial and @bassheavii for their opening support :)
@apogee.lx for providing the most beautiful lighting! @woodswaugh for engineering sound and being so flexible!
@ngreseth and @shydemonx for capturing these precious moments
And the @thecedar for hosting and being incredibly hospitable ❤️

Band credits;
@tobyramaswamy 🥁
@gavin__stacey 🎹
@eli.0rion 🎸🎻 and mandolin!
@gt_rhythm bass!
@tateschoebs pedal steel!

Please check out the openers and this band! Everyone is working so hard on their own projects and careers, and all of the music is beautiful!! Feeling incredible grateful to have graced the stage with such kind and hardworking musicians.

Lots of love,

Minneapolis artist IAMJOY’s single “Apple” is from her new alt-pop record “What Is Getting Home?” — detailing her “inner dialogue while falling in and out of love.” IAMJOY will headline @thecedar this Saturday, Oct. 3 with @annahoustonofficial @bassheavii.

Listen to Minnesota music Sunday nights from 7 to 9 at thecurrent.org or 89.3FM or anytime at thecurrent.org/programs.

my album comes out in a week, and summer is fading.

i have infinite words and nothing to say. this summer, really this past year has probably been my most transformational year. i turn 22 in two weeks and that always brings up big feelings. i’ve started going to shows again, and made a pact to go dancing once a month. this album has in some ways taken over my life and i’m ready to share that weight with you.

there’s my little blurb, i made a secret substack that i have yet to publish anything on but it’s coming.

see ya in a week,
rosie :) by @iamjoy.jc

My debut album “What Is Getting Home?” will be yours September 18th.

I will be performing a live rendition at @thecedar on October 3rd. It’s the culmination of everything I’ve poured my heart into for the last two years.

I am honored to take The Cedars stage once again, and be accompanied by @annahoustonofficial and @bassheavii :)
