THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH for helping me make May 2nd!!!!! There’s still time to support!! Click the link in my bio to make your contribution toward human artistry today! 😋🍿🔗🎬

The first time I heard a “No” for May 2nd was in NYC July of 2025. Since then I’ve revised and revised some more. I dug deeper & opened up even more to my creative process. 🎭

I shot a proof of concept which I wrote, produced, directed, edited plus sound design (won an award for best editing too lol). I designed the poster and I cut the trailer by myself NO AI 🚫. Ask @richboymanners_ - I was on his couch when I did it.

THIS is man-made art by a REAL person with the help of REAL people!! @surrealizestudios @schellmiester @vonte_atl @sarinah.emi Brian O’Bryant @ellejeanbarre @r_jennings3 @kiannemuschett and @enochaking 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Thanks to YOU, I won’t have to worry about hearing another “No” to May 2nd!! We are making this film together 🎬🎥🔥❤️ by @iamjoyjoseph

How many times have you used AI and it ruined your idea? How many times have you used AI and had to go make corrections? How many times have you thought it’d just be easier to do it yourself?

May 2nd reminds and urges you to reclaim YOUR OWN ideas, creativity, and agency! You already have everything you need 💫

YOU. ME. US. HUMANS.

*This project takes a stance against AI therefore no AI was used in the development of the script, story, or production.

In a world becoming shaped more and more by artificial intelligence, May 2nd reminds and urges you to reclaim YOUR OWN ideas, creativity, and agency! You already have everything you need 💫

We cannot let AI think for us, create for us, or replace us!! 🚫⛔️ WE ARE THE SOURCE - not ChatGPT, Google, or anything else.

While May 2nd is personal to me, I wrote it for US. I grew up riding bikes, playing snake on a Nokia, and was lucky to share a landline with my brother. We got AOL on CD-ROMs and used dialup internet lol

Algorithms, timelines, and AI wasn’t always a “thing” and while there’s some convenience and even entertainment with it, you can’t let it trick you out your spot!

What is lost when you surrender your own voice to technology - a job, a relationship, your destiny, or even your life?

This film is a reminder that your gifts and talents are not inferior to algorithms. Ultimately, YOU are in control of your own destiny, not your timeline or a new system.

YOU… ME… US… HUMANS.

May 2nd Proof-of-Concept is still available on YouTube. Link is in the bio 🫶🏾🎬🔥🚀
