I never got the chance to see Michael Jackson perform in person. I had planned to see him during the This Is It tour, but as we all know, Michael passed away before the tour ever began. 💔
I have always loved visiting him at his final resting place, the Great Mausoleum at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California. There is something peaceful and surreal about being there and reflecting on the incredible legacy he left behind. 🕊️✨
FYI: If you ever plan to visit, DO NOT go on his actual birthday! 😂 It is PACKED! Trust me on this one.
Michael may be gone, but his music, his artistry, and his legacy will forever live on. ❤️🎶👑 by @iamjulezc

August 20, 1619.

A date we should never forget.

Today, I pause to remember the first enslaved Africans brought to English-occupied Jamestown, Virginia. Their arrival marked the beginning of a painful chapter that shaped the history of this country and the generations that followed.

We remember the lives stolen, the families broken, the strength that survived, and the resilience that could not be erased.

We remember. We honor. We educate. We tell the truth.

Because knowing our history is not about staying stuck in the past. It is about understanding where we came from so we can continue building a better future.

Throwback 2016

Just me… Survivor

If there is one thing I want you to know, it is that my life has been far from easy. The hills I have climbed, literally and figuratively 🤣, and the nights I have cried could tell a story all by themselves.

But God!

The teal word SURVIVOR represents sexual assault. Something that was intended to break me, but instead became part of a story of strength that built me. Today, I stand and fight for others. I use my voice for those who have not yet found theirs.

Some hills we choose to climb. Others are placed in front of us.

Either way, keep climbing. Keep fighting. Keep rising.

Just Me… Self-love❤️

Self-love didn’t come easy for me. I had to unlearn words spoken over me. Words have power! They can hurt deeply… and sometimes those words live in your mind long after the person who said them is gone.

Self-talk is learning to speak life to yourself! It hits differently. 💕

Tell yourself: I’m choosing me. Loving me. Protecting my peace. And becoming the woman I was always meant to be.

If you’re still battling with loving yourself… keep going. You are worth the work.
