I want to start by thanking Memphis Track and Field.
Honestly, you gave me a college experience I didn’t think I’d have. You gave me the opportunity to place at meets I never had before like conference and to compete at meets I never imagined I’d reach, like regionals. You gave me the strength to run more confidently than I ever have. And for that, I’m forever grateful.

Thank you, Coach O, for taking a chance on me. Every dream you spoke into me came to life. Thank you for believing in me every step of the way and pushing me to challenge myself daily. You never gave baby speeches or loser speeches — you always kept it real. Thank you forever.

Next, thank you, Rutgers.
Thank you for teaching me how to find the bright side. You helped me separate my identity from the sport and while that might sound like a “bad” thing, it wasn’t. It showed me I’m so much more than just a track and field athlete. Rutgers showed me the power of real friendship and how it can carry you through the hardest times.

Thank you to all my Rutgers babies the ones who made it to the end and the ones who didn’t y’all made my whole experience unforgettable. I’m forever grateful for you.
And thank you, Rutgers, for bringing a Florida girl to Jersey. I made some good, crazy, wild memories I’ll never forget.

Thank you to Coach Walker — for guiding me, pushing me, and supporting me throughout my entire college journey. Without you and your family, this would’ve been a lot harder. No cap.

Last but never least: thank you, Track and Field.
I’ve been running since middle school, and this sport changed my life. I always knew I wanted to go to college I just didn’t know how. Track was my ticket. I’m so glad my mom told me to join a sport, and even more grateful I ended up being good at it.

As I say goodbye to college track and field, I want to wrap it up by saying: I have no regrets. This was the experience of a lifetime. Follow your own journey and I’m forever grateful.
