came back to varnish @soooraven ‘s pieces and do some final touch ups. It was really nice seeing them again after half a year. time flies. I usually just go with the flow of things but because of the size and timeline I wanted to make sure everything was planned out in advance including the colors. every single color that was used on both of the pieces were mixed and thought out during my sketching process. It felt time consuming at first but in the end it was more efficient + saved me a lot of paint. Im not sure I’ll be this organized every time but for large scale pieces like this I will be implementing this from now on + the blank tubes are a very nice aesthetic 😆. I also used 2 colors religiously that I did not really use much before. paynes gray and phthalo green yellow shade. Paynes gray is this really beautiful blueish gray. I started putting it into skin tones too and wow. Phthalo green yellow is one of the main colors I used for the 25ft piece it reminds me of like a candy green lollipop. It was nice using this in contrast to the many other greens in the piece. It’s a very happy color 🍬💚 by @iamkateahn
