Zacch Adedeji’s Stewardship at the FIRS :
On the positive side, taxation is, in the words of the American historian, Albert Hart, the price which civilized communities pay for the opportunity of REMAINING civilized. And on the negative side, the great American writer, Mark Twain, cynically called tax “a fine for doing well.”  Whichever way one looks at it, paying tax is not exactly one of our favorite pastimes as humans, and most of us would rather NOT pay it if we can safely avoid doing so.

Believe it or not, the race for the Governor’s Mansion in Alausa, Ikeja is on.

Even though we’re still in the early days of 2025, the mental timeline of the typical Nigerian politician probably indicates that we are in the last quarter of 2026 – if not early 2027. Based on this futurist calendar, all the permutations about who is up (or on his way there), who is down (or on his way there), and the whole panoply of alliances and allegiances (including shifting ones, according to where one’s best interests are best served) are now out in full force.

The 2024 election comes after a contentious and highly dramatic campaign characterized by dramatic twists and turns on both sides of the political divide. Just prior to the commencement of the campaign, @realdonaldtrump was faced with a moutain of legal challenges that would have daunted a lesser man and made him abandon his presidential bid.

By all accounts, she was a combination of royalty, grace and a unique personal style. Among the attributes she’d be remembered for is her impeccable fashion sense and culinary skills, which she exhibited with flair and panache even at an advanced age. To which she added the assiduousness and high sense of duty with which she played the roles of devoted spouse to one of the most towering political figures in Nigeria’s Second Republic, and the revered matriarch of a large, diverse and influential political dynasty. by @iamkeemabdul

Highlighting the Benefits of the FG’s Economic Reforms which should make him a darling to Nigerians:

When he took over as Nigeria’s President at the end of May 2023, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, was under no illusions that the job he had undertaken was going to be a walk in the park. All he wanted from the Nigerian people, he said then, was patience, understanding and cooperation, rather than cynicism and despair.

The best example of leadership, someone has said, is leadership BY example. A good leader doesn’t just TELL her followers what to do; she SHOWS them how it’s done.

In a country where good governance is still at a premium, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu’s example of leadership is clearly worth of emulation.

Behind every successful man, it is often said, is a woman. More often than not, that ‘woman’ refers to a spouse. For some men, however, it may well refer to a sister, friend or female mentor.

Or, more likely than not, a Matriarch.

There is little, if anything that hasn’t already been said and written about the life and political influence of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.Like the proverbial colossus, he has bestridden the political landscape since his entry into the arena as an active player in the early 1990s .

But there are so many dimensions to this larger-than-life personage that he has been the subject of much speculation and innuendo, and many insinuations and even outright fallacies, by admirers and adversaries alike. Much of the narrative about Tinubu over the years has tended to swing between two extremes – from fawning adulation to damning accusation, and from the sublime to the ridiculous.

"The King Maker " book is an attempt at a balanced, common sense retelling of the Tinubu story, and by extension, of the political dispensation he helped to bring about and in which he has played such a towering role.

It is a chronicle of Tinubu’s rise from relative obscurity to the very pinnacle of the Nigerian political totem pole.

It is a story of hope in the face of despair and determination to succeed against the odds. It is the story of a man who came, saw, and conquered.

It is also an affirmation of the truism that success in life is, for the most part, 1 per cent inspiration and 99 per cent perspiration, and also that the ultimate proof of desire is pursuit.
