These are the moments I know I’ll look back on when I’m 75. When the kids are grown, building lives and families of their own, and spontaneous ice cream dates with Mom and Dad are no longer a regular part of life.

One day, I’ll wish I could come back to these simple afternoons, even if just for a moment. For now I’m enjoying every bit of it.

Thank You, Lord, for these days, because I know how fleeting they are. Help me to be fully present, to slow down, and to never become so consumed by the busyness of life that I overlook the beautiful life You’ve already blessed me with.

Has anyone else done one of these?

This was my first time doing one of these Murder Mystery themed parties and let me tell ya..it was awesome!

I played the character Sandy Beach Bum and 3x Surfing Gold Medalist, I can’t disclose the murderer per court order but all I can say is I was Innocent. Glad I could take home the award for “Best Performance” and “Best Dressed”.

I feel like everybody right now is trying to make content.

And then you go online and it feels like you need a camera, three lights, a studio, all this stuff…You really don’t.

If I was starting from scratch, I’d focus on three things.

Audio first….Because if your video looks decent but sounds terrible, nobody’s sticking around.

Then lighting.

And honestly, good lighting will make your phone look way better than most people realize.

And then composition.

Which is simply put..how you frame your subject in your shot.

That’s really it.

Before you start buying a bunch of gear, get those three things right.

Then just start filming.

You’ll get better way faster by actually making videos than you will trying to build the perfect setup. taken in Houston, Texas by @iamkylekindle

Nothing beats a surprise National Night Out in Kemah when scrambling to find things to do with the kids while your wife’s out with her friends.

The best solution was to call some of the dads whose wives also were out and make a guys night.

We won some @whataburger gift cards and a free month at @crossfitmoto19

This weekend was one of those weekends that was packed from start to finish in the best way.

Birthday parties, college football, workouts, breakfast at Skippers, family time, good food and a whole lot of laughs.

As life gets busier, I’m becoming more and more thankful for weekends like this and for the people we get to do life with. There’s something pretty special about having friends and families around us that our kids can grow up alongside, making memories together as the years go by.

Very grateful for this season of life, the friendships we have and all the little moments in between.

And to all my Aggie friends out there… sorry about Saturday. Geaux Tigers. by @iamkylekindle

Saturdays are for waking up early and rucking. Good Old Boy Ruck Club with another successful ruck. Amazing morning. Today is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. There’s very few things that beat:

-Up on a Saturday morning with your two oldest kids
-Beating the Sun Up
-Community
-Running
-A cuban breakfast and Colada
-Sunshine/water slides
-Family time

On today’s Zone 2 Side Quest…

We decided to run to the store, grab a late night snack, and keep running back home.

Nothing crazy. Just a dad and his son depositing a few more M’s into the running bank.

But man, it’s amazing watching what consistency and quality time can do for a young boy’s confidence.

Watching him realize he can do hard things. Watching him push a little farther than he thought he could. Watching that confidence start carrying over into who he’s becoming.

As a dad, I think one of the greatest things we can give our sons is the opportunity to do hard things alongside us.

Not just telling them they’re capable.

Showing them.
