"You need to show me how you feel, whenever you with me. This is how we celebrate!" 🥳

Celebration #32 was soft, cute and filled with laughter. Thank you to those who participated in making me feel loved one way or the other. This song is how I felt throughout.

At kilometre 5, my groin filed a formal complaint. 😅
25km. 10 loops. 2 climbs up ramps on every single loop, because apparently my legs needed to argue with gravity ten separate times before this race would let me finish.

I almost didn't start this one. Between the flooding wrecking outdoor training for two months straight and just not feeling ready for how intense criteriums are, my plan was to train through August and race later. Sensible. Safe. Boring, honestly.

Then a Pro from my club, @cycologycc, gave me one pep talk that landed on "just do it" and I said fine, let's find out. 🚴🏾‍♀️Flip through the slides for the video of me talking about how anxious I was the night before.

During the race, I was so deep in negotiations with my own body that I didn't even clock how far in I was until the marshal shouted, “One lap left!” I crossed the line with zero idea where I'd placed.

1st in my category. 🥇

This month alone I've placed 1st in the Vet Women's category at my very first ever Crit and I finished my second duathlon. That’s 2 medals baby! 🏅🏅

This one hit different because I almost talked myself out of it. Ready is a myth. Showing up before you feel ready is the actual training.

See you at the next monthly criterium @Pitstopcommunity. My legs have been warned. 🦵🏾

Owanbe! 🌸

Got to dress up in my Mummy's expensive lace to watch @jipreze marry the apple of his eye. A regal ceremony surrounded by family, love and elegance. I wish you two a soft marriage filled with joy, success and peace. 🌺♥️🪷 by @iamlamisko

On October 4th I had the opportunity to attend the inaugural edition of @rideabuja organized by @76cycling and it wasnothing short of an incredible experience. This is the first race of @uci_cycling standards hosted in the capital city and I'm already looking forward to the next one. Yes I missed a turning so my 84kms became 86 but that's okay. 😅The beautiful city of Abuja and it's lush views made the discomfort of every hard breath, crank of the pedal and sip of water feel o so delicious. (Slides 8 & 12)😍 The nerves were certainly there at the start but I rode the entire race solo. But that is something I'm so proud of myself for doing, for I will always be my greatest motivator. Left the sound on in the videos so you can hear me breathing and fighting for my life. 🤣

Sunrise Hill, the pièce de résistance was no easy feat. Climbing for 10.1 km with a gradient of up to 13.3% was no joke. Some didn't even do it. I told myself I couldn't go back to Lagos without climbing it on my bike. Have you ever seen 5km/h on your meter before? Ọmọ! As I approached the hill and started climbing, I saw many who chose to walk it and I couldn't blame them but, I decided my story would be different (Slides 9 & 10). What a ride with so many great feelings at the end. A proud moment signing that banner post race (Slide 17).

I'm proud of the organizers from @76cycling for putting this together.👏🏾 They really did a great job from race kit collection, warm up rides, breakfast and even the recovery rides. A special thanks to @4eyedmonk (Slide 13) for renting me his beautiful bike. For the weekend, I named her Isabella but she's actually Itiveh, named after his wife (Slide 20). Thank you to you and Captain Katka for indulging in my questions, requests and everything else I pestered you with.

To all my new cycling friends made in Abuja, we Flatlanders are looking forward to hosting you in January for @eko170 so we can show you what real speed looks like! 🤪🤣 by @iamlamisko

I have this race, the medal fiasco and this moment as highlight of 2026 with @iamlamisko - MC Lamisko, you rock our world; thank you thank you thank you!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ♥️

Blessings to everyone in hopes of finding an incredible friend like Olamide, Gods speed 🤭 by @iamlamisko

Last month made it 6 months since I started road cycling with @cycologycc so it only made sense to celebrate by getting on the podium🥈 at the @pitstopcommunity August Criterium. Though only my second Criterium, it was simply the best because I had 2 other women on that podium with me. I told @saddle_nd_soul that we must compete in August while we were getting set to take off in that months duathlon. That track is where our cycling friendship started, last year November. I'm still working hard on not coming second to her calm and measured skills on the track. 🚴🏾‍♀️

I'm a huge advocate for women's sports and I love it when we encourage each other to not only to come out but give it our all. @sylvia_nono who placed 3rd is preparing for an Ironman 70.3 and is in the gym,🏋🏾‍♀️ water🏊🏾‍♀️ or on the road🏃🏾‍♀️🚴🏾‍♀️ everyday. Incredible!

If you really love women's sports, show it! Show up for our events, sponsor our teams and individual athletes and AMPLIFY US. No be by cho cho cho. Be like us, show workings. by @iamlamisko

Sunday August 8th was another opportunity to realize how strong I am and the fact that I'm getting stronger and faster with each race. 🚴🏾‍♀️

Though I didn't physically feel my best at the start of the race, it was my best performance out of all three. Set new PRs for my 5K and 3K thanks to all the running training I've been doing.🏃🏾‍♀️ I felt like my ride could have been better because I put a lot of energy into my 5K run.

It's been self-motivating to see the time for completion of these races reduce with each attempt. 3 completions and so many more to go. 🏅🏅🏅Excited to see what I do at September's edition. Shout out to the all the women who came out for August's Duathlon. The turn out was great and I only hope to see you 🫵🏾at the next one.

Well done @pitstopcommunity for putting together a great race and thank you @cycologycc for keeping the fire burning. Congratulations to the winners and their doubled prize money!🤑 by @iamlamisko

GRWM for my second Duathlon! 🏃🏾‍♀️🚴🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♀️

After the first one, I knew I was going to do it again but I wasn't sure how ready I was this second time. Nonetheless, I showed up, ran the race, completed it and beat my previous time. I'm proud of myself because I don't really enjoy running and I ran nonstop no matter how slow it felt and how badly my legs cramped.

I complained to @ebube.runs that they always announce these races 1 week in advance and it doesn't give me enough time to get ready. But I guess that's the point, as an athlete, you gotta STAY READY! Congratulations @saddle_nd_soul on completing your first Duathlon and this is our second competition together. Looking forward to many more.

Thank you again to @pitstopcommunity for keeping my competitive spirit alive and giving athletes at all levels the opportunity to perform.

Like we say over at @cycologycc, NEVER GIVE UP.

A Bad Ass Beach At @lulubeachlagos

Last night, @cycologycc 🚴🏾‍♀️ said farewell to our guests, @motherland.cycling in the most Lagosian way possible! An all-white party with great entertainment, drinks and camaraderie; a beautiful way to wrap up the weekend.

Shout out to @thesingletonngr for this beautiful set in the powder room.😎 The perfect little beach escape from the torrential downpour.
