I did it! ✅ It took me two weeks to finally recover from the Event I dreamed of for my whole lifetime. @capeepic was for sure the hardest things I did on a bike, but also as a challenge for me personally. Not only for my body it was a hell of a week, but also mentally I suffered so hard, like never before. After my Partner Lukas got sick very bad with fever and some Nights in the Hospital, it wasn’t that easy for me to stick to the plan and ride the hardest Bikerace of the world all for myself from Prologue Day. But it worked out, with me being a stubborn guy haha. After day six, the things even got worse, when thunderstorms and heavy rain made it even harder to survive this Nightmare-Conditions. In the end, all my people, at the event sight or at home, made my dream come true I worked so hard for. Crossing the finish line in Val de Vie ripped my feelings, went to tears and laughing out so loud in seconds. Thanks to everyone involved, especially the one and only @lukas_ittenbach - words can’t describe how thankful I am to have you next to me 🫶 Also thank to my supporter team on and off the bike in South Africa, Dirk, @utahoffmann13 @cesur_cildir @se23_racing @sebastianl81 @eugen.schmunk.76 @jensnikolakis @achatgrau @hiltontarrant @the_ @cariiiniii @ninapinkgirl belgian_butterfly, Performance-Manager @vossdom and Many more - without you and your mental support, I wouldn’t be an Cape Epic finisher for sure!
