My my my look what the Lord has done.
God is my everything.
God had brought me through sooo much I can not even begin to quantify. But this weekend, I witnessed his grace, and his ultimate YES in my life. Many of you have come along my journey here from different stopping points. Some of us went to high school together, a lot of us went to college together, several of us share the love of vintage and we’ve danced on some of the biggest stages in the world together and premiered in the biggest cinemas and tv screens across the globe.

But this weekend… I stepped into the driver’s seat of God’s new vehicle. FILM MAKER. I have always been a multi -hyphenate artist but will not sugar coat the road has been long suffering. As a private person only a few know the silent battles endured. And as a creative I know I share in the notion that not creating, not dancing, not singing to the level you once did and sharing your talent with others can feel like a death. A lost way. A purpose destroyed. But my God I am so grateful for the mission I have before me. From loosing everything and having to start over to this honor is simply unbelievable. I have been stripped of former identities and I stand before you as a mere vessel for God and to bring His light to the world 1 song, one musical, album, movie, & tour at a time. I want to give the biggest thank you to the @annapolisfilmfest for seeing me & believing in The Promotion. Theee biggest thank you to the best coach in the world @benthewriter . There aren’t enough thank you’s to express my gratitude for your mentorship and guidance. @nextlevelscribe Pam! Thank you for our pitch session! @princess.elemba thank you sister for helping me prepare for this moment. @ladysplendorclothing thanks so much for express shipping my pitch look! My prayer warriors @beauty_ful_blis @bootsnva4 love you love you love you💕 To my husband @kingphorce you have been my rock through my darkest days. I can’t wait to do this next part with you by my side. WE ARE MAKING A MOVIE YALL!!!!!! Please be on the look out as we will go on the journey in making The Promotion and for future casting updates. Let’s do this!!!!!!! Sincerely, Mannequin 💖🎩🎥 by @iammannequin

The wait is finally over.

I present to you…

I’d like to thank my incredible team for all the collaborative work we have labored together to come to this point. This film is my love letter to Black Hollywood Glamour, to U Street’s famous Black Broadway, and to every dreamer out there bold enough to say YES to God’s will and plan for your life.

The Promotion marks my screenwriting and directorial debut 🥹 and we’re in our official 60 day countdown to principal photography. I want to thank everyone in advance for every donation, comment, like, share and repost. I need my village with me. Help bring The Promotion to the finish line!

Father God in the Mighty name of Jesus,

I want to thank you for giving me the opportunity to share the gifts you have implanted in me for your people to share with the World. I want to thank you for all the lives that will be touched by the film the team and I are working so hard to make. I want to thank you in advance for bringing me through one of the hardest things I’ve ever done for I am truly giving my all and my absolute best. I plan to complete every mission you’ve laid before me. I love you.

Your Daughter,
Briana

These past few months have truly stretched me. My faith, my will, my creativity. Although I have no children of my own, The Promotion feels like my child. Months of nurturing, appointments, consults, preparation training. Somehow what I’ve dreamed for almost 20 years in the making is in motion and I can’t keep to myself the pure gratitude of it all. As I gear up to share more on the project and where we are, I simply want to say thank you. Thank you for being on this journey with me. Thank you for your support. Thank you for the repost, for sharing to your stories, for spreading the good news via word of mouth. I appreciate You and God Bless You!

What an amazing week! I had the pleasure of pitching The Promotion at @brooklynfilmfestival and I must say the feedback and support I received was immeasurable. Although my journey ended as a Finalist, I left feeling so inspired by the work of my fellow filmmakers pitching and grateful for the feedback. The biggest thank you to the judges and @brooklynfilmfestival for your support of The Promotion. Biggest thank you to my rock @kingphorce for your love and support. We are going to keep pressing, keep working and keep sharing this incredible work in order for the world to see and experience The Promotion.

Sincerely,

The Signature Scent 🍒✨

I had an amazing experience making my signature scent @olfactorynyc in Willamsburg. If you’re looking for a fun activity to do with a group of friends or to celebrate a special occasion, I’d definitely give this experience a 10/10. Can’t wait to go back and make another. Should this become a series? 👀
