My boy played 3 games straight yesterday in his first 3v3 tournament! Got up today played in the semi finals 3v3 they got the W and played in the championship which they won. 🏆 He’s really warming up and starting to love the game. People have come up to us in the last 2days complimenting his toughness and his skill at only 6yrs old- being the youngest player on the court. “ Messai, my first born, you made ya mama strong! You the one “ Watching my 1st born grow up is pride and heartbreak in the same breath 🥲. The lil boy who once needed me for everything is slowly becoming his own person, and while I’m so proud, there’s a quiet sadness that comes with watching those baby years fade away 🤦🏾‍♀️. Although he’s only 6, his mind is way sharper than any 6yr old in my era ever was & to know him is to know that, but also it only lets me know that this world is FAST. … & also COLD, so we’re raising him to be solid, strong, and unshakable without losing his softness.
