Over the past few months, I’d been doing some reflecting. From February to now, God really has been opening my eyes to things not just about myself, but he continuously keeps revealing who he is and allowing me to learn his nature. As I approach my twenty-seventh year this month on April 25th, what is running through my mind is- Lord, Thank you. 🫂

I’m thankful for my community, I’m thankful for my Heavenly Father not giving up on me, and I thank him for loving me sooooooooo much, that I am truly accepting who I am and loving on me… FR!

What a NIGHT!!! Tanya and Mike we are SOOOOO grateful for the opportunity to provide vocal support for your INCREDIBLE musical movement … The War and Treaty ATE and left NO CRUMBS at the legendary Howard Theatre tonight!!!!! American mezzo-soprano Denyce Graves, has graced nearly all the major world opera house stages and concert halls during her four-decades-long career. A champion of new works, Ms. Graves has premiered operas, song cycles, and won competitions and countless awards. Her signature opera roles include Carmen, Dalila and the more contemporary Margaret Garner and The Passion of Mary Cardwell Dawson.Denyce Graves is an educator and on faculty at The Juilliard School and Peabody Conservatory.
The Emmy and GRAMMY Award winner has received many honorary Doctorates of Musical Arts, is an arts advocate and currently serves as Global Music Ambassador for the United States. A portrait of Ms. Graves can be seen as part of the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Institute’s National Portrait Gallery, and her image is represented in the National Museum of African American History and Culture.Ms. Graves formed The Denyce Graves Foundation in 2021 to support singers at all stages of their careers & honor the contributions of those who have gone before. The Denyce Graves Foundation cultivates programs aimed at encouraging exceptionally talented vocal artists of all backgrounds to fulfill their potential. The organization’s philanthropic arm has already seen remarkable success to help save the National Opera House in Pittsburgh, an essential but neglected piece of American history. We are delighted to Highlight the phenomenal Samuel Gelber @samgelber who is the current Director Of Artistic Planning & Operations for Washington National Opera @washnatopera! Our DMV Content Correspondent team is delighted to interview and share his work with our community and aboard🎉!

To Learn More About Mr. Gelber please read further his Biography -
Samuel Gelber is Director of Artistic Planning & Operations at Washington National Opera, where he oversees the company’s artistic activity in close collaboration with Artistic Director Francesca Zambello and Music Director Robert Spano, with particular emphasis on casting, long-range planning, and programming.

He is a frequent juror for leading international vocal competitions including the Neue Stimmen International Singing Competition, Plácido Domingo’s Operalia, the Paris Opera Competition, the Butler Opera International Voice Competition, the Joan Pons International Singing Competition, and the Galina Vishnevskaya Competition, and has presented masterclasses for organizations such as the Aspen Music Festival and Opera for Peace.

Prior to joining Washington National Opera, Gelber served as Artistic Administrator at Los Angeles Opera, where he worked closely with Plácido Domingo, James Conlon, and Susan Graham on the development and casting of the company’s artistic initiatives. He also directed the Domingo-Colburn-Stein Young Artist Program and oversaw Music Administration.

He previously served as Artistic Coordinator at the Metropolitan Opera, contributing to the casting and planning of future seasons. Gelber began his career in artist management, working with a distinguished roster of artists including Renée Fleming, Lawrence Brownlee, Marco Armiliato, and Julia Fischer.

A native of Houston, Texas, he holds a Bachelor of Music from the Manhattan School of Music. by @iamninamonii__
