4 years ago today The NA3AM - @newarabmedia team and I were so excited to announce that my first comic #LATIFA was being sold at St. Mark's Comics @stmarkscomics , one of New York's comic book temples.
⚔️🧕🏽⚔️it was one of my proudest moments to see the FIRST international Saudi female super hero next to #wonderwoman #batgirl #batman #superman #greenlantern #xmen #tankgirl. What an exhilarating time for @newarabmedia and @iamnotlatifa in Saudi Arabia at the historic event @mdlbeast !! Our booth was highly successful and brought many Arabs from across Saudi together, unsegregated and with freedom of style to learn more about the groundbreaking heroine, Latifa! There was so much national pride at the festival. Many native Saudi DJ’s, with global fan bases, found themselves performing for the first time in their own country on a massive stage. We over heard many say “we never thought this day would come,” and it did! It was historic indeed.
