this phrase has meant alot to me over my adult years.. through my hardest times i would visibly see this phrase in my head. before my hero academia even existed, the phrase “plus ultra” has held a special place in my heart.. and will never not hold a impact on my behavior and how i go about living my day to day life..

i remember vaguely the first day i saw this phrase in one of my classes (american history i believe) 9th grade year. i told myself, this phrase means something.. even if it originated from something i myself truly dont believe.. i can make this phrase mean something to me. back then, i think i was trying to sound smart, intellectual.. i never paid it any attention until i got arrested back in 2017.

sitting there asking God if i would ever bounce back from this.. or should i just remain a deadbeat, i believe He answered me back in that nasty cell “remember, plus ultra”

almost 10 years later the phrase hits me with the same amount of confidence and determination to succeed.. so i plan to use this as my motto, for as long as i live.. because i truly believe that as long as im still alive, there is always so much more to learn, so much love to spread, i hope that i can share the impact this phrase has given me to all my supporters. and i also hope i am able to motivate those to keep looking beyond their current state, their current selves, to be the best they can be..

without further ado, let’s crush it!
