We have to stop using a child’s diagnosis as an excuse for every behavior.

Autism can explain WHY a child may struggle with communication, sensory overload, transitions, or emotional regulation — but it doesn’t mean we stop teaching boundaries, expectations, and appropriate behavior.

Our kids deserve understanding AND accountability. 💙

They are not “bad” because they’re autistic, but they also shouldn’t be underestimated because of their diagnosis.

Accommodate the disability. Teach the behavior. Give grace without removing expectations. 🫶🏽
