I thought coming here would bring back the heaviness, the emptiness, the feeling of being a failure, of being a lost soul.
But somehow, the moment I arrived, everything felt different. This place shifted something in me. It reminded me that maybe I’m not as broken as I thought I was. I smiled.
I felt happy. And for a little while, everything felt lighter.
Funny how a place can make you feel at home when you’ve been feeling lost for so long.

Went on a solo date in Dumaguete because life has been fcuking me up lately.

Honestly, I’ve been feeling tired—physically, mentally, and emotionally. So, I decided to step away from everything for a while and just spend some time with myself.

No plans, no expectations, no waiting for anyone. Just me, good food, a little walk, some quiet time, and whatever peace I could find.

I’m slowly learning that I don’t always need someone beside me to enjoy life. Sometimes, I just need to take myself somewhere, breathe, clear my head, and remind myself that not everything has to be figured out right away.

Life may be a mess right now, and I may not have all the answers, but I’m still here. Still trying. Still finding reasons to enjoy the little things.

Maybe that’s enough for today.

Here’s to taking a break, choosing myself, and getting through life one day at a time, one meal at a time, one solo date at a time.

And if life wants to keep throwing punches, fine.
