Here is a sneak peek of the new book I’ve illustrated for @davidzwirnerbooks, written by @doroglobus 🙃. It was pure pleasure to work on a book that helps kids understand the process of making an art exhibition. I’m really happy with the final book, the colour pops! Thank you @doroglobus @apracticeforeverydaylife @davidzwirnerbooks for making this project so much fun. The book comes out on September 28th and you can preorder from all the usual spots 😎 by @iamroseblake

Choosing vast museum-scapes as her chosen subject, Rose Blake (@iamroseblake ) captures the busy hum of a gallery concourse. Each digitally-designed character contributes to the rich narrative the scene develops, all with their own lives and personalities. And the art on the museum walls, which Blake hand-paints onto each image, brings with it its own history. Her imagined museums become playful forums in which to redefine what is regarded as ‘exhibition-worthy’. Illustration as art is affirmed, and truly celebrated.

Blake studied Illustration and Animation at Kingston University, where she was awarded the D&AD Best New Blood Award. She followed this with an MA at the Royal College of Art.

Blake has completed commissions for The New Yorker, The New York Times, The Telegraph, The Sunday Times, The BBC and Tatler.

Me eating pop tarts and watching the sun set on tv (?!) in Hockney’s beach house 🌞 I remember being so excited that the fridge was fully stocked with treats for the guests staying at the house; rows of cold sodas, and beers for the grown ups! by @iamroseblake

I’m so happy to share my new celebrant website, Colourful Life. It’s been an amazing experience getting to this point, including meeting a wonderful group of fellow celebrants during my training. I am now qualified to write and deliver both wedding and funeral ceremonies! Thank you to @sophiedutton for the beautiful web design and @ap.picard for the build. Have a look, at: www.colourful-life.co.uk 💛💚 by @iamroseblake
