Hope : What is hope? I often wonder. Last month has been heavy, So does every month. But there seems to be an ease through which I’ve been handling this. Some days get bad - but usually calling @harsheetdham kinda makes them better. Sometimes you gotta hear somone tell you - bro it’s not that deep. But these days - In midst of missed flights and being a surrogate dad to my sister, I have realised that hope is a crazy thing. My days go - I work , I earn and I burn money. Either it’s a superchat to @shedyaagya or @raj_equinox, or handing the bill for dinners and drinks with people I care about. Waiting for rickshaws while the mosquito enjoys on my blood, every one has needs. To work towards them, well that takes hope. My family, my loved ones and friends, give me hope that every next day will be a better one, and in-turn I give them my unasked earned wisdom (ask @itsthawiz and @nashady.zk they’ll tell you). Sometimes it’s unwarranted, but there’s still exists hope. Hope that people who call me beta, bhai, uncle (please don’t call me uncle) do better than I did at thier age. That’s hope I guess. I remember being in the dumps, few years back, but I had hope. Strong thing that little word is. In my conversations with adults and youngins alike, I have realised that all the people in my life in one way or another are rooting out for me, somtimes I get blind to that fact. In these super fast paced world, we all tend to feel alone time to time. What keeps being going is the amalgamation of all the hands on my shoulder that give me hope. I was down and out due to sickness and it was @kitiszn who gave me hope that I’m allright and I’ll get better, in addition to adding on to her already busy emergency schedule. I guess everyone wants me to do better, just in thier own ways, makes me wonder do we dream of better days when we know that our waking hours are taken by the job that necessitates survival? Idk I work nightshifts. Btw yk I really fuck with sunlight. But my point stands. Without hope, I am no one and with hope I am everyone. Better days ahead and I hope to be strong to deal with the cross on my shoulder, for I know I’m strong enough to carry it. Or I hope I am.. by @iamruthdas

Overextension - as my faux therapist might say, which is me I’m saying this is a sign of a troubled mind. These days I’ve been mentally exhausted and people close to me know or rather think they know about what’s happening. Yet in the midst of oversharing and connective dates, I’ve found that I need to rein things in. I’ve over extended myself beyond what I am mentally and physically capable of, my mind and my body needs rest. But even in rest it keeps running, like a hamster on a wheel plugged to a shock collar. If I stop I’ll have to take time out and deal with whatever is going on in my life. The idea that my life is a Bollywood movie and that too a Truman show has made me feel less in control of the narrative I hold of my life. 2 weeks before I used to think I had it, and every fucking time I think that I’ve had it, I loose some part of myself. I overestimate how much my life can decide to flip on itself, when you least expect it. It’s a whole lot of headache and heartbreak. Speaking of heartbreak with love I’ve found that the moment you figure out a pattern to things, they take a turn for the worse or for the better. It’s mainly the lack of knowing and the uncertainty of it that seems like a bane of my life. I don’t know how to feel about this, the voices in my head have gone quite, maybe they too are uncertain. And as much as I think I have come to terms with my familial relationships, the way they are. I haven’t, it takes great deal of effort to deal with it. And every day I die a little, slowly but surely. The presence of my little sister has been a blessing in disguise, cause if she wasn’t here I wouldn’t have a modicum of sanity that I hold in my hands. I guess everything happens for a reason, even when the reasons feel stupid and fake to the practicality of lived life. This wisdom is bad, this music in my ears is bad, I’m trying to survive and I shall but idk what would come out in the other side. For now I am tired of moving ahead, I’m gonna go rest, take a nap. I do not have the energy to move, for I have over extended. by @iamruthdas

Oh Mumbai, you have touched me in ways I could never understand. As I reminisce my past few days in the city, I leave confused. On one hand the excitement of being single again in a new city has made me want to go out and have more fun, and that has led to a few thoughts that have passed by my pea sized brain - slowly by surely. The city is so much like I remember yet it is honestly not as I remembered it. That’s the distinction right? You grow old, yet it’s still you inside. Meeting people and revisiting old friends is what makes me.. well me. And so many of yall reading this have loved me and given me a place to stay in your hearts. I guess Mumbai is like that, it’s a city that belongs to no one, yet belongs to everyone. The smells of garbage next to the fragrance of vada pav. This city is fillled with contradictions. I remember telling @harsheetdham once that contradiction and hypocrisy is the human condition, and as I looked down from the 31st floor of the building smoking a cig, a smart lady next to me pointed out how theses chawls bloom next to the towering high rises. A city of contradictions you are Mumbai. I remember traveling at 5.05am local from Badlapur to Kalyan to attend school with my dad and when I stepped back into the train from the goregaon station on a rainy evening on my third day, it all came back. How people spend thier whole life there. In and out, the romanticized nature of the city, its disgustingness and yet a part of me still feels for this contradictory monolith anthill. Now, I’ve come back to Ahmedabad with a calm only accompanied after a storm that washes over the deck of this ship which I call life. Mumbai I will come back and spend some more time with you, cause the beauty of the fact is that our time is limited and that’s why I shall cherish you forever. Live on! The city of dreams. by @iamruthdas

What would you do if you ever meet your 10 year old self? My answer was always ā€œimma beat tf out of himā€ but he was already beaten by his father. Day in and day out these days I feel more empathy for the kid in this picture. These days the answer is that ā€œI’d let him have the last peice of chicken he was so afraid of taking, I’d buy him his favourite kulfi and a cycle he always wanted, maybe I’ll buy him shoes that don’t break in 2 months, I’d show him that it’s not his mistake people don’t wanna talk to him and we’d prolly enjoy playing on ps5 that he used to longingly look at at the windows of the game stores while passingā€ and yet today I’ve woken up with feelings I don’t understand, the life of which I have lived and the life I had dreams of living. Does the span of time I have spent ever since I was a kid feel like growth that has no upper limit. I know I talk in riddles somtimes but the basic ideas has always been that hey, I have everything I ever wanted and dreamed as a kid, then why does every morning follow up with bouts of anxiety and fear that I’d loose it. I know people would kill to be in my position, but in chaising growth I have forgotten the kid in my heart. I’ve realised with time that the women that I looked at as somone who’d be there to take care of him never did, from mom to girlfriends. I stand not in a position to blame them, they have thier own kids to attend to, thier own battles to fight. Regardless, however it stands now, this journey of understanding myself has taken me to highs of highs and lows of lows. And somewhere there the little kid who loved having bhel and mango kulfi slowly inches towards peace. God speed young chicku. by @iamruthdas

Track no. 13 - ā€œAdib Ke Tamasheā€

A homage / honour / tribute to Ustaad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan

5th August 2026

This track stands tall when we look at the pieces that we’ve worked on. This gave us exactly what we needed exactly at the right time.
It is one of the songs that had the most significant impact on our artistic as well as individual lives.

@iamruthdas orchestrated this production like a maestro.

@rusty_works_ pieced this artwork together like a mosaic.
