This birthday isn’t just about me; it’s about the strength and wisdom my mother has poured into my life. The loving, wise voice you hear in this video is hers. I stand here as a strong Black man because I was nurtured by a strong Black woman. Liberation is her gift, and I wear it proudly.

As I step into this next chapter, I feel deeply blessed and grateful for her love, and for the love of my children, my twin brother, my family, and friends.

And just so y’all know, I’m feeling so free this year, I going harder and farther than ever. Let’s get it!

Over the past nine months, I’ve been on a journey back to myself—reconnecting with the things that bring me joy and fill my heart. Last year was one of the hardest. I experienced betrayal, isolation, verbal/physical abuse and deep grief. I found myself in a cycle of self-doubt , self-sabotage, and low vibrational energy. At one point, I didn’t even recognize who I was.

Then came Hello America: A Man Laws Inauguration, becoming part of this project truly changed my life. Working under the vision of Brandon Rainey has been transformative. I walked into rehearsals scared, quiet, and guarded. But I knew this story demanded more-it demanded truth. So I let go of “Ryan” and gave my all to #8. I found healing in the process, and strength I didn’t know I still had.

Brandon, thank you for trusting me with this role. I’ll never forget this experience. To my cast-mates—my brothers—thank you for the laughs, the honesty, and the bond we’ve built. I’ll carry it forever.

Thirty-Five 🍾

34 wasn’t easy. It was probably one of the heaviest times of my life. I lost everything.

I fell into a crippling depression that I couldn’t seem to dig myself out of. My mental health was shot. I had no confidence and didn’t feel valuable. Due to childhood trauma, manipulation, toxic behaviors, and adapting to generational curses, I took on entirely too much. I needed a rescue—a way out.

But I got back on my feet, and without a doubt, I did the work.

Please do me a favor and get into THERAPY! It didn’t magically make my problems disappear or take the pain away—it’s a TOOL. It gives you a different outlook on life and teaches you how to communicate and establish healthy boundaries.

I started to love myself. I learned to give myself GRACE and PATIENCE, and to promptly remove myself from anything that no longer served me.

My heart is full, and my eyes are filled with tears as I write this. I’m forever grateful for my family, but I’m also incredibly grateful for the friends who have poured so much love into my life

35 is going to be a great year!
