I could make this caption about how spending the first week of August in Provincetown feels like the best kind of gay summer camp there ever was, and get all emo about how I never liked summer camp when I was young because I was a closeted little gay kid who didn’t think there were other kids out there like me, and talk about how I’ve met people in Ptown over the years who were initially strangers, and then became friends, and now family, and how being there during a perfect summer week makes me feel like the happiest and gayest and most at-peace version of myself, and how the light is like nowhere else on this planet, and how summer on the Cape just feels like heaven on earth.

Or I could just make the caption something like “Ptown 2026! Yas, soooo fun 🕺🏻.”

When one of your closest friends comes back to New York after her first six months of living abroad, what—besides have your friends fly in, go to East Hampton, surprise her in a children’s toy store, throw her a dinner party, and assign every guest their very own wig—can one do to celebrate her birthday appropriately?

Getting married? I highly recommend you take a page out of @stef.ashlen and @highchroma.design's book: skip the wedding for a Studio 54-inspired one year anniversary dance party, with 68-year-old drag queens, more disco balls than you can count, and a *really* good photobooth.
