I know I’m mad late with this birthday post🥲but honestly… maybe I needed the extra time to sit with what 25 actually means to me.

I don’t really have the perfect words for this year yet.
I just know I’m different.

I’m learning to fall in love with Jesus all over again. Not just with what He can do for me. Not just with the prayers I’m waiting to see answered. Not just with the promises I’m holding onto.

With Him.
With His heart.
With His presence.
With who He is when nobody is clapping.
And maybe that’s what I want 25 to be.
Me becoming the girl He called me to be.

My name is Sharai. Princess. Always smiling. My song. My release.
And the older I get, the more I realize I don’t just want to carry the meaning of my name.
I want to live it.
I want my life to be a song that comes from knowing Him.
I want my joy to be real.
My worship to be real.
My love to be real.

I want to be the kind of girl who can walk into a room and bring joy, but also the kind of girl who can walk into the presence of God and finally let everything out.
Because maybe that’s part of my release too.

The things I can’t explain.
The things I’ve carried.
The things I’m still becoming.
The things I’m believing God for.
I want to give it all to Him.

There’s a lot I’m expecting from this next chapter.

A lot I’m praying for.
A lot I’m believing for.
A lot I’m excited about.

But more than anything, I just want Jesus!
Because if becoming who He called me to be means letting go of who I thought I’d become, then Lord, let Your will be done.
Even if it looks different.
Even if it takes longer.

Even if I have to lay down what I thought this year would be.
I just want Your heart more than I want my own way.
Not my will, But Yours.

So yeah…🫪

Still His princess.
Still smiling.
Still singing.
Still releasing.
Still becoming.
And somehow, through all of it, still held🫂

Jesus, let this year sound like You!
Let my joy point to You.
Let my life point to You.
Let my song point to You.
Let my release point back to You.
