People often ask me what inspired me to write Too Cool To LOVE. One of the biggest catalysts was my experience working on the Sister I’m Sorry documentary with @Oprah, @Donaldmbell, @BlairUnderwood_official, and others.

That experience changed my life. After each episode, Oprah personally walked me to the green room and told me—one day, I was going to shift the cultural paradigm. She saw something in the way her audience responded to me and the power of the message we were sharing.

Not only did she inspire Too Cool To LOVE, but she also ignited my passion to serve others. That moment set me on a course that’s unfolding right now. (Stay tuned!)

As an author and an individual who has experienced both physical and relationship abuse, I offer my opinion and advice to help individuals unravel the emotional and psychological parallels of these forms of abuse.

I understand that this may be a jarring way to convey the seriousness of relationship abuse. However, relationship abuse is just as heinous as physical abuse. Both can leave you in a cold, dark place, causing you to desperately search for ways to free yourself from a lifetime of psychological and emotional trauma.

Chapter 10 (R.A.P.E) of the Too Cool To LOVE study guide walks you through the process of releasing guilt, fault, shame or blame and moves you towards putting the pieces of your life back together after such traumatic experiences.

Restore The Balance of Power:

At what point does society begin to fully stand up for and truly embrace the value and power of women?

We are living in a transformative time where women have taken control of their empowerment narratives.

Women are rising, leading, and reshaping industries, politics, and communities. The era of women stepping into their power is here, and it is profound and undeniable.

For eons, men have controlled the narrative of “power,” often to the detriment of women. But today’s empowerment movements are rewriting the script. Women are no longer silent or sidelined—they are vocal, visible, and vibrant forces of change.

However, recognizing this shift is not enough. Society must actively embrace and advance this narrative, integrating it into every aspect of our lives—socially, economically, and politically.

Imagine a world where power dynamics are a harmonious blend of strengths. In this evolving paradigm, power is shared, and both men and women uplift each other. When women are empowered, societies thrive, economies grow, communities become more resilient, and innovation flourishes.

It is my strong opinion that with hard work and focused determination, you can overcome just about anything and WIN!

Life is about picking up the pieces and making better choices every day. And I can assure you that the best place to pick up and start from, is inducing self-love.

As my life experiences and the many stories that molded me unfold, I am humbled to have had the opportunity to share my learning experiences on platforms such as @spectrumnews1socal with @amypaffrath as part of her #WhatsGood series.

Had the honor of talking about my new release 📚‘Too Cool To Love’ with my brother @guylambertnewz earlier this week on @fox5DC’ #fox5livezone.

The truth is, Too Cool To LOVE was supposed to drop last year, but I was offered a major publishing deal, and was asked to pause all marketing as they needed time to put To Cool into their machine 💻.

The terms of that arrangement were not taken seriously enough, so I decided to end that publication relationship. I am now back to ME, MYSELF, and I, and knowing that’s enough.

Yep, I am still on FAITH STEET, and still planning to push Too Cool To LOVE to the top of the charts.
