When @robin_de_puy showed me the images she shot after a brief and sweet conversation, she pointed to this portret and said this one is you… and it felt so right, it totally captured my state of being… times of change and building the next steps in life with joy, passion and loads of curiosity.

Thank you Robin and thank you @amsterdammuseum for letting me be part of the 100 year celebration of the museum, I’m proud to be part of this amazing place that is archiving and showing all sides of this city’s history and future history.

A piece I wanted to highlight was this amazing piece of lace that in my eyes stand for craft, patience, perseverance of the maker to become a master in craft the real value textile use to have but in my eyes still has but is not getting the credits for at the moment.
A conversations starter on the history of our industry of textiles and the transition it is bound to make again.

His creative studio for product, production, consultancy and experimentation builds on more than two decades of pushing textiles beyond the expected. As founder of ByBorre, Akkersdijk transformed textile production through technology, digitizing and opening his supply chain while pioneering 3D-knitted textiles and textile passports rooted in transparency. Today, Patience expands that philosophy into a broader ecosystem where technology, creativity, transparency and perseverance coexist. From building infrastructure to questioning how we create, his work continues to challenge the industry to do less, better and differently.

233 newspapers. Each individually stamped and signed.

Built from more than 200 submissions by 13 artists, designers, and collaborators, this publication explores the philosophy of patience through a shared process of making. Every page follows a Fibonacci-based grid. A system borrowed from nature that became the foundation for what we built.

Each paper comes with a Patience pin. And a soft place for it to lay.

After months of collecting, arranging, printing, and refining, the newspaper is now available through our webshop. Check it out if you would like ;)
