Well, well, well ... look who has the best view in San Francisco! I’m The Stack, your soon-to-be favorite highrise, keeping a watchful eye on the Dogpatch waterfront. My neighbors? The Bay Bridge, keeping it classy; Karl the Fog, rolling in as if he owns the place; and Sutro Tower, flossing their techieness.

Fun fact: I steal the spotlight—whether it’s sunrise or sunset, and even if Karl does his thing. So, whether you’re here for the views or just to hang, hello to my world.

Each year, HPP’s Annual Luncheon convenes business leaders, philanthropists, public officials, and community partners for an afternoon in service of a single aim: ending family poverty in San Francisco.

Connection is the easy part. Impact is the harder one, and over the years, the Luncheon has raised millions of dollars to fund it.

Pit Talks: Episode 7 🎙️🏗️

Concrete is not so much poured as managed. This week Nick Eftimiou, Project Manager at Webcor Concrete, joins us in the pit to explain thermal control — why temperature is watched before, during, and after a pour, and why there is no second attempt at getting it right. The work at Power Station rests on it, literally.

FIFTH SPACE and Power Station were honored to join the Chinatown YMCA for the 41st Annual ARO Golf Tournament & Crab Feed — one of San Francisco’s most enduring traditions of community and service.

The event is hosted by the Alpha RAM Omega (ARO), a community service group affiliated with the Chinatown YMCA since 1950. What began in 1971 as a golf tournament in memory of member Nelson Leong, and later grew to include a crab feed in memory of Rolph Chin, has for decades raised vital support for the Y’s youth and community programs.

We were grateful to spend the day among so many who give generously of their time — from the first tee at Lake Merced to a spirited evening around the crab feed tables.

This year’s event carried special meaning, honoring the memory of Louis E. Kwok, a founding member of the AROs whose leadership and generosity continue to shape the community he served.

Our thanks to the Chinatown YMCA, the AROs, and everyone who made the day possible. ⛳️🦀❤️
