Out of all the meals he’s ever paid for, the fancy restaurants where we’ve dined, the food trucks and street food that I’ve craved …. this meal means the MOST!

This is the very first meal EVER that my baby has prepared for his wife. A bacon and egg sandwich 😊

This is special not only because he cooked it but because he listened. I’ve been hinting real hard about growing tired of cooking. And tonight 9/9/2026 he initiated, he made the effort, he accepted the assignment.

Love is communicating. Reciprocating. Listening. Adjusting. Compromising. It’s the little things that are priceless.

Thank you Adrian Everett Sr. For the meal but I thank you so much for listening and doing and caring. ❤️❤️❤️

Some moments I don’t share. Not because I’m not proud but because sometimes as a stepmom you don’t feel “deserving”. But I’m soooo proud of this young lady! This summer was challenging. Emotional, ups, downs, and lessons learned. But she handled it well. Dropping her off yesterday on campus felt different. She’s really an adult with responsibilities. She still needs us but in a different way. Thankful that God and her parents entrusted me with to take this journey with her. Can’t wait to see what she does next. It’s always something new.

We didn’t help her unpack, she’s grown now. She got it 😊

She didn’t approve this post or pic. She said facebook is for old people so I don’t have to worry about her seeing this. She’s somewhere of TicTok 😂
