For my followers that haven’t been around for very long, I just thought I’d introduce myself. I’m in my mid 50’s, a wife to Mark and Mum to my two adult sons, Harvey and Oliver and my little princess (Shih Tzu), Tinkerbelle 🥰
I’d consider myself quite creative. I once had dreams of becoming an artist but love took me in a different direction and I’ve been fortunate enough to have had the best life married to Mark.
We’ve travelled the world and lived in a few different countries. It really gave me a passion for travel.
I struggled for a couple of years when I entered perimenopause but that has been helped massively with my HRT. I feel that now my boys are grown we have a new lease of life, a new freedom and I’m loving it.
I’ve always loved the gym but I’d shamelessly say I’ve never been in as good shape as I am now. I shifted focus from trying to be as skinny as I could to working at being the strongest I can be.
I truly believe in “what’s meant to be will be”, I’m definitely a “cup half full” person and I’m always manifesting wonderful things.
Therefore, I believe I was always going to find the opportunity (my business) I grabbed with both hands, it just took me 53 years 😆

A year from now you’ll be glad you had started today!

Not because it was the perfect time to start.
Not because you had lots of spare time.
But because you finally decided you were worth the effort.

No one starts with all the answers, we all start feeling like we’re not ready and unsure. But, when you realise you’re not the only one and actually we have an incredible community here to champion each other and support your journey, that first step is easier than you think.

Fast forward…what’s changed for me is I work on my own terms, it’s about choice. It’s freedom to work around my existing life.

Freedom to build something of my own without risk.
Freedom to choose when and where I work.

If you’re reading this and feeling that quiet niggle of
“there has to be more for me and my family”….
This may be it.

You don’t need experience. You don’t need to be an expert on Social Media. You just need to say “yes” to starting.

The best time was yesterday.
The next best time is now.

I’ve reached the age where I know the housework will still be there tomorrow…

But the opportunity to make memories isn’t always guaranteed.

So yes, sometimes the washing waits.

Sometimes the hoovering waits.

Sometimes the to-do list waits.

Because I’d rather spend my time laughing with friends, travelling with Mark, dancing at festivals, watching sunsets and saying “yes” to the moments I’ll actually remember.

The dust can wait.

The memories can’t. ❤️

I’m not rich.

I don’t have a perfect life.

But I’ve realised something that’s changed how I make decisions…

Time is the one thing we can never earn back.

So if I can take the trip, I’ll take it.

If I can spend time with people I love, I will.

If there’s an opportunity to make another memory instead of another excuse…

I’ll choose the memory.

Losing my dad far too soon taught me that tomorrow is never guaranteed.

So these days I’m not chasing “someday.”

I’m choosing today.

I’m not rich… I’ve just decided to live like time matters more than money. ❤️

If someone offered me the chance to be 25 again…

I’d smile… and politely say, “No thank you.”

I loved being young.

But I also love who I’ve become.

These days, I’m stronger than I’ve ever been.
I worry less about what people think.
I treasure time with the people I love.
And I know that the best memories are the ones you stop waiting to make.

Losing my dad just weeks after he retired changed my perspective forever. It reminded me that “one day” isn’t promised.

So I’m not trying to turn the clock back.

I’m making sure every year ahead is one worth remembering.

And for me… that’s what ageing well really looks like. ❤️

Apparently, there’s an actual word for people like me…

☀️ Heliophilia – a love of sunshine and a desire to stay in the sun.

Well… that explains a lot! 😂

Maybe I’m not obsessed with holidays after all.

Maybe I’m just following the sunshine. ☀️✈️

(I’ll definitely be using heliophile as my excuse the next time I book a trip! 😆)

I’ve reached the age where I can hold two completely opposite thoughts in the same afternoon… 😂

💰 “We really should save more.”

✈️ “But imagine the memories…”

After losing my dad just weeks after he retired, I’ve realised there’s no perfect time to start living. Yes, I believe in being sensible… but I also believe in making memories while we can.

So if you see me booking another cruise… just know I’ve had a very sensible conversation with myself first. 😉🥂

It happens every single time… 😂

The minute a holiday is booked, my Vinted app suddenly becomes my most-used app.

Do I need another holiday outfit?

Absolutely not.

Will I still convince myself that a £7 dress is “too good to miss”?

Also absolutely yes. 🤷🏼‍♀️🤣

Please tell me I’m not the only one whose holiday countdown includes checking Vinted more often than the weather forecast! 🙈✈️🚢

Happy 58th Birthday to my favourite person. ❤️

Thank you for always being my biggest supporter, my voice of reason (because one of us has to be 😂), my partner in adventure, and the man who’s happy to let me plan every trip while you focus on finding the best local beer.

We’ve packed a lot into the last 32 years… and somehow I think the best chapters are still to come.

Happy Birthday, Mark. Here’s to more music, more laughs, more adventures and plenty more memories together. 🍻

I’ve accepted something about myself…

I’m never going to be the woman who gets excited about matcha. 😅

I’ll happily lift weights, hit my step count, eat well most of the time and look after myself…

But if we’re sitting in the sunshine?

You’ll probably find a glass of Champagne or rosé in my hand. 🥂

Because I genuinely believe life is about balance.

Healthy body.
Happy heart.
Great friends.
Amazing memories.

As someone who enjoys a glass of rosé (purely for research purposes, obviously 😉🍷)…

I think we’ve all heard wine described as having notes of strawberry, summer berries or a hint of citrus.

But THIS one…

Definitely tastes like everyone is having toast for tea. 🤣

Once you’ve heard it, you can’t untaste it.

Please tell me I’m not the only one whose brain works like this!
