Let us never forget the powerful gift of being able to read.

My Great-Grandfather was illiterate. Not out of choice, but due to slavery, he wasn't allowed to learn.

Because of this my Grandmother (his daughter) stamped the value of reading in our family, and the joy that it brings.

Please don't be dumbed down by swipe culture. Sit down and enjoy a good book. Expand your imagination and vocabulary.

Currently my eldest is reading The Magicians Nephew by C.S. Lewis. An excellent read! The first book of The Chronicles of Narnia Series 🥰

Sometimes you just have to go with it.

Today I have a meeting with @mccannbespokelondon and as you can see, I am not alone. 'My Mini-Me the 2nd' is with me 😍.

Originally had childcare and unfortunately an unforseen situation arose meaning now I don't. These things happen.

Why am I sharing this with you? I just want all the working parents out there to small kids to know that an obstacle can arise but if you're willing to, you can jump over it.

You will not be less professional or less successful because you have to sometimes take your little ones to meetings with you.

Admittedly I was thinking right, I'm going to have to cancel. But actually no. The world is a different place now. We see more business owners with young families working together; Mum's and Dad's doing their best to raise their family and run a successful business.

So when I said I'll have my little one with me today. The response was 'That's all fine!'

It's all very beautiful.
