It has been a week marked by loss. Please keep the Mathews family in your prayers as we mourn the passing of my cousin, Austin Mathews, on May 26th, at the age of 32.

I am especially grateful for the time we shared this past Christmas, and I am reminded once again how precious life is and how important it is to celebrate each moment. Austin, rest well, knowing that we will cherish the memories of family gatherings, the laughter we shared, and the lasting impact your presence had on all who knew you. This has been a week of loss. 💐 Antony Charles Galloway was a longtime friend of mine, dating back to around 2000. He was a fairly recent recipient of a Heart Transplant and was back to working to support himself. We had a video-chat on April 29th, and despite everything he was going through, he remained as kind and complimentary as ever. He was absolutely my biggest supporter after Meechi (iykyk)! Anthony’s bold approach to life and his refreshing directness were qualities I truly admired. He gave so much to the community, and his absence will be deeply felt by many. Rest well, my friend—you fought courageously and with great dignity. Your absence will be felt in the community! Rest well knowing the impact you’ve made.
