This was our first year participating in the annual Down Syndrome Walk with the Down Syndrome Connection of the Bay Area and THE CAIRO COLLECTIVE was in full effect!! The amount of support we received while fundraising, those that joined our team and walked, amongst those who were with us in spirit was more than we could’ve imagined and we are feeling sooo blessed! We met some amazing families there and were surrounded by those that love and genuinely care for Cairo and our family! Next year we are coming bigger and even better! We’ve made it through early mornings, long nights, growing kids, and the kind of days that stretch us thin but through all of it, you’re still the woman I chose, and the one I continue to choose.

From your 4 week early arrival, to your trisomy 21 diagnosis, your open heart surgery, amongst other hurdles, you still manage to laugh, smile and be the happiest little person we could ever ask for. We are in awe at your strength and resilience and are so grateful the good Lord blessed us to be your parents! You are incredibly LOVED (you will never know the magnitude). You made your official debut a month ago and ever since then, you’ve stolen Mommy’s heart ❤️.
In my life, I’ve been fortunate to be a godmother, a surrogate mother to my SEI kids, a step/bonus mom…Now I’m blessed to be Cairo’s mama! God’s timing has been everything and I’m abundantly grateful.

On our special day, the sand ceremony held a profound meaning as we embarked on this beautiful journey as a family of five. 🌟 Each distinct color of sand symbolized a unique story: Me, Mrs. Sarah Warren, and our three amazing boys William III, Carter and Brandon.
