Completely unplanned 😂. One thing I’ve realised over the years is that more practice doesn’t automatically mean more progress.I’ve had seasons where I’d spend hours behind the kit but wasn’t actually getting any better because I wasn’t practising with intention.Sometimes the issue isn’t how long you’re practising…it’s how you’re practising.If any of these points hit home, don’t be discouraged. We’ve all been there. This might step on a few toes…but it needs to be said 👀🥁Better chops won’t automatically make you a better drummer.Yes, chops are fun.Yes, they’re impressive.But if your time is shaky, your dynamics are inconsistent, or you struggle to truly listen…more chops won’t fix that.The drummers that get called back consistently aren’t always the flashiest.They’re the ones with great feel, solid pocket and the wisdom to serve the song.Chops are a tool.Not the foundation.•••••#drumlessons #drummersofinstagram #drumcommunity #drumchops #worshipdrummer by @iandrummerboy
