Next stop: Knoxville! 🍊

I’m excited to announce my commitment to the University of Tennessee to continue my academic and baseball career!

Thank you to all my teammates along the way for pushing me to become a better leader and player, and to my friends for always supporting me.

To my coaches, @jdibenedetto19, @hafner_travis, and @baseball_savage4life—thank you for challenging me and helping me become the best player I can be.

Lastly, thank you to my family for cheering me on from around the country and always being in my corner. I wouldn’t be here without you. A special thank you to my Mom, Dad, and Brother for everything they do for me.

I can’t wait to see you all in the family section at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

Ian Jansen — Tennessee Commit 🔶⚾

2028 SS Ian Jansen has announced his commitment to the University of Tennessee, adding another highly regarded Florida prospect to the Vols’ recruiting class. The 6-foot-4, 205-pound right-handed hitting shortstop from Cambridge Christian in Tampa brings an intriguing combination of size, physicality and long-term projection to Knoxville.

Jansen is currently ranked No. 63 nationally by Perfect Game, No. 19 at shortstop and No. 11 in Florida, while Prep Baseball Report has him No. 56 nationally and No. 8 in Florida. He also put together a strong sophomore campaign, hitting .385 with 7 home runs and 26 RBIs.

With his imposing frame, right-handed bat and continued physical development, Jansen possesses the type of upside that makes him an intriguing addition to Tennessee’s future infield. by @ianjansen23
