Two years ago still feels like yesterday. @carerowleenaw Happy 2 years of loving and laughing with me. I can’t believe I got to marry my best friend. You are the sun to my moon. Thank you for always making me feel like the most special person in the world. Thank you for helping me remember important things and telling me which color is which so I don’t say the wrong one. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us, but with you by my side, the future is bright :) mtamta by @ianmpowell

Happy 2nd Anniversary @ianmpowell thank you for joining in spamming our wedding pictures 🫣

This was TRULY the best night of my life and completely changed me from a wedding HATER to a wedding LOVER.

Marrying my best friend was the best decision I’ve ever made. Ian is the sweetest, the most paitient, so funny and I’m so grateful to have him as my #1 fan and partner in life. Thank you for rubbing my legs every night, waking up with me when I can’t sleep, and attempting to learn how to paint nails to help me. You’ve taught me to love my self & it’s been the greatest gift anyone has ever given me 🫂💛 by @ianmpowell

Our biggest regret was not spamming pictures of our wedding so that’s exactly what we’re doing for anniversary 2. So here’s a slightly edited 6min wedding video 💒

We’re so proud of this video of the best day of our lives!None of it would be possible without Maddie & Matt James who captured this day and all the vibes PERFECTLY 💛

12 years ago @ianmpowell dropped a 64oz Dr. Pepper in the middle of our acting class and I noticed him for the first time. everyone noticed him, 64oz is a lot of liquid. This our first picture together, on the final day of class. I can’t believe today we get married 🦋 by @ianmpowell

I promise this is the last one. Just remembered this song and how Rock was our little lion 🦁 💛 by @ianmpowell

It’s so hard to find the words to describe what Rocky means to us. It’s been a week since he’s passed and the gulf he’s left is immense.

We miss how if we weren’t up by 6:30am that he’d start whistling. We miss having all our pants incredibly dirty from him drying his wet mouth on us and leaning with all his weight against our legs. We miss being worried about where we’d put our glasses & dishes because he was so tall that his tail would knock them off the table. We miss him being the nosest, we’d call him Detective Snoofs because he’d give you a ‘nose-down’ everytime you came into the house. We miss all the dogs barking when we come home…they only did that cause of Rocky.

He was such a presence and not just because of his size. He was the sweetest boy.

While he was sick we lost count of how many nurses told us “I’ve never met a German Shepard that’s this sweet” and he was the sweetest. Despite being physically capable of tearing someone’s head off he could never hurt a fly and never did. He was Harry’s, our rabbit, best friend, and they would cuddle a lot. He always forgave everyone no matter how mean they were to him. He taught us so much about kindness and forgiveness and what’s ACTUALLY important.

He was Ian’s best friend (tho Mika was Rocky’s best friend lol). He was our baby. When he was sick he’d get very scared at night and there were so many times where he would just bury his head into Carol’s chest like a little boy trying to get comfort from his mom. He always wanted us to both come with him potty at night to feel safe. We were a real family.

When he passed he went very peacefully, leaning up against Carol like he did so many times before. Rocky never did anything he didn’t want to do and we took his peaceful acceptance of his final sleep to mean that he wanted to rest, he just didn’t want to leave his mom & dad and needed us to once again tell him…

“You’re a brave boy, you’re a good boy, you’re a sweet boy. We love Rocky. Rocky is such a good boy. Rocky is such a sweetie…” by @ianmpowell
