Preparation for this year’s @rugbyafrique cup with the @zimbabwesables looked a little different! Going from a full-time professional environment to trying to fit training in around family, work and life.From FIFO up north and doing shuttles runs on a basketball court being chased by the flies in 45 degree heat, to my first road run since 2007 with the @mettleglobal lads. Kicking down at the local park, shifting tin at @athletic_institute and keeping the legs ticking over at @soaks_rugby 🏉.It’s taken me back to when I was trying to make it as a pro while studying at University.Were there times when doubt crept in and I wondered if it was all worth it? Sure did. Was it worth it in the end? Absolutely!Find a way to make it work 🫡 by @ianprior

🐎Ambassador Announcement 🐎 Please join us in welcoming former Western Force captain and Zimbabwe Sables playmaker @ianprior to the #StockmanRugby stables as a valued ambassador. Ian has enjoyed a decorated rugby career playing over 200 first class rugby fixtures around the world, winning a Super Rugby title with the Queensland Reds, defeating the British & Irish Lions with the ACT Brumbies, and captaining the Western Force (where he amassed over 100 caps). At the international level, Ian has proudly represented the Junior Wallabies at the Junior Rugby World Cup and his heritage nation Zimbabwe, contributing to the Sables 2027 World Cup qualification. He is a dedicated family man, exemplary leader and a rugby icon.
