I used to like posting on Instagram.
But then I got kind of burnt out,
If I’m being honest.
It’s important.
My simple request is to do something you love.
My simple request is to just create more than you consume.
Ok?
Play from you heart. by @iantrusheim

Let’s Give Some Thanks!

I’ve always wanted to play with @sluprok, he’s one of my favorite drummers! I made a song based around one of his awesome grooves. Thanks George, I hope we get to play in person some day.

It’s amazing how wonderful life is, let’s give some thanks!

Also, thanks to @stagesmusicarts and @charlessimonguitar for providing me a place to be myself 🙏

Two Bar Tuesday
33rd edition

I’ve slowed down my pace in the IG rat race but I appreciate everyone who’s still rocking with me. I’m averaging 4-5 gigs a week, plus online educational opportunities and private lessons. I’m around, just hit me up if you want to become a better musician. I’ve taught thousands and thousands of lessons (and still learning through my own journey) over two plus decades. I have a passion for music and love helping people meet their musical goals.

You can check my website (link in bio) for educational opportunities and performances.

Here's a fun super fun bitesized lesson from SBL Blueprint tutor @iantrusheim 💙

Add variation into your bass lines & fills by experimenting with the direction of the line. You can start by using this D Minor pentatonic lick to try it out first, then take the concept on board and explore it within your own ideas.

Enjoyed this? Go give Ian a follow for more bass lesson content & awesome original grooves too 🙃
