This is a painting commissioned by my good friend Taylor! It's Tigers! acrylic on canvas, 18x24". For this project I took inspiration from Henri Rousseau's jungle paintings and his style of depicting plant and animal life. My painting explores themes of growth and the fundamental elements of life. And also it's tigers! 🐯 #art #painting #tigers by @ianvens

one of my favorite pieces. 16 x 20, acrylic on canvas. this painting has gone through a few transformations over the past decade and i'm really pleased with what it has become! #portrait #portraitpainting #brightcolors #ianvens #pattern #stars #tattoos #acrylicpainting #painting #border #background by @ianvens

New painting!!! This is a commissioned piece where I was told to "do my thing" and that's what I did! It's called Rise & Fall and is 11" x 14", acrylic on canvas. I made this for @the_alphagail - it's a piece about cycles and existing through all the positive and negative events that make up our reality. fun! #painting #art #artist #ianvens #patterns #brightcolors #portrait #rhythm #movement #humans #person #comets #acrylicpainting #instaart by @ianvens

Finally posting some newer work on here! This is a portrait (nobody real) I painted on found wood with acrylic paint. This was a piece where I started painting with no plan and after many many revisions I was able to get it to where I wanted it. You like? #acrylicpainting #art #portrait #ianvens by @ianvens
