This week has been a wild ride 😅

I started it wanting to share more about what’s been exciting me in AI and get back into my work headspace. Then, out of nowhere, the ideas started flowing. Resources, hacks, little things that could make life easier for new mums.

If you know me, you know I’m not one to put myself in a box. But there’s this thing that happens when you’re living in an experience: it’s kind of the only thing you see. Right now, that’s motherhood. And to be fair, a lot of my recent posts have been about exactly that.

But I don’t want to box myself in. I also want to keep sharing what’s genuinely valuable, talk about @_senero , my faith & business (and hopefully stay consistent while at it).

I think I’ll need your help with this one. What would you like to see more of on my little corner of the internet?

I was so ready for solids… until six months actually arrived 🫠

Before then I was counting down. Breastfeeding was wearing me out, if I’m honest. Then suddenly my baby was almost six months and I still had no plan. None.

So I spent about a month asking every mum I knew, reading the NHS website and researching what babies actually need. The mums at my baby group kept telling me to “just start”. I was still nervous abeg

I was still nervous so I kept checking what nutrients were in every food before I fed him. I started a spreadsheet to keep track and I got really excited then I gave up because it was all so manual.

So I built the planner I wish I’d had, hopefully this will also make a new mum’s life easier. It’s free and based on NHS guidance too.

It’s very easy to wonder about the essence of life

I mean what’s there not to wonder about?

There’s a lot of vanity, and lots of unanswered questions…

I mean why do we work from 9-5, plan to buy a house, plan for this and for that, it all just seems like we’re going in circles

Therefore the only way this all makes sense is that I use my time on earth to know God more

Afterall, I’ll be spending my eternity with him

That’s the only way I can wake up each morning without asking what on earth am I here for?

I tracked every single feed for Baby O’s first 3 months. Honestly, it was mostly for survival, and partly out of fear, to make sure I was giving him enough food. 3am, one eye open, tapping “start” so I’d remember which side, how long, and when the next feed was due.

1,093 entries later, it never crossed my mind that I’d be able to use it to tell a story and be proud of myself. I’d even forgotten about the 90-minute feed at 5:41am! In the moment, it felt like chaos. Tbh IT WAS CHAOS! If you’re in the thick of it right now, you’re doing more than you can see.

I was playing around with Claude last night and thought it’d be fun to see my highlights, similar to Spotify wrap the year 😌

Being back online and actively promoting @_senero again has reminded me just how much work it takes to put your business out there.

Sometimes, something as simple as a like, a comment or someone sharing what you do can put your business in front of the person who becomes your next customer.

I remember thinking, many years ago, that if I was ever going to start a business in the UK, I wanted to make sure I did it properly.

I wanted everything to be registered correctly, the paperwork to be in order, the finances to be set up properly and, most importantly, I wanted to understand what I could and couldn’t do while on a Skilled Worker visa.
