There was too much pigment left in her skin.

Normally, I would have recommended removal before touching these brows.

But she was clear: removal wasn’t an option for her. She didn’t want to go through the process or invest in it.

So I had a decision to make.

Could I improve what was already there without making the brows darker, heavier or creating an even bigger problem?

I decided to take on the correction — carefully working with the old pigment rather than pretending it wasn’t there.

This is how they healed 5 weeks after ONE session.

Is removal sometimes the better option? Absolutely.
But real clients don’t always choose the ideal route.

Sometimes the challenge is knowing what can realistically and responsibly be improved with what you have.

🎯If another artist tattoos differently than you, that doesn’t mean they’re doing it wrong.👇

I see this way too much in our industry. Different hand movement, different stretch, different speed, different way of saturating… and immediately someone says, “That’s not the right technique.”

But who decided there was only one?

If you’re working in the right layer of the skin, you’re not overworking it, the lips aren’t bleeding excessively or looking patchy when you’re done, and your healed results come back even and beautiful, that’s what matters.

Learn your fundamentals first. Understand the skin. Understand your machine. Understand what happens when your work heals.

Then practice.

Because with enough practice and experience, you stop trying to copy exactly how someone else tattoos and you start developing your own hand, your own rhythm, your own signature.

We’re different artists. We shouldn’t all tattoo exactly the same way.

Your technique doesn’t have to look like mine to be right.

She has NO idea what her brows look like yet… 👀

That little moment before I hand her the mirror is always my favorite.

We went for Combo Brows with crisp Nano hairstrokes to create realistic texture in the front, with soft shading through the body and tail for definition without a heavy, blocky brow.

Now wait for her reaction. 🤭

Not every dark lip needs full neutralization. 👀

I neutralized only the darker inner lower lip and kept her natural lip tone untouched.

Sometimes knowing what NOT to tattoo makes all the difference.

Wait till the end.
Fresh doesn’t tell the whole story.

It’s easy to judge brows right after the appointment, but that’s not what you’ll be living with.
