I turn 31 today. 🎂

Transparency post 💛

Today is bittersweet. 30 was the hardest MF’n year of my life. <—-even this feels like a understatement. I lost someone irreplaceable. I quit my job. My mental health suffered in ways I never expected and I won’t lie and say I’m still not struggling sometimes. My life today is so dramatically changed it’s almost unrecognizable to me. But despite it all I got to today and that was by the grace of God and my little brother watching over me. I’ve experienced loss before, but nothing prepared me for the grief of losing a sibling. It’s a different kind of heartbreak. A identity loss.

From now on, my birthday wish will always be the same: that somehow, some way, I get to hug my brother again.

Somehow, though, I feel him with me. In the quiet moments, it feels like he’s still pushing me forward, and maybe that’s why I’ve been able to keep moving. So this year and EVERY year is dedicated to him.

Honestly a dream come true 🥹💫

I’ve been a fan since I was 5, when my dad and mom showed me HIStory on VHS. I remember watching his performance on Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever (not in real time obviouslyyy lol) and being completely mesmerized.

Michael was magic to me. But as I got older and learned more about who he was as a person, my love for him only grew deeper.

I’ve been rocking with him all these years, and to finally be at that premiere… I truly manifested that moment.

Forever grateful. Love you always, Michael. My hero and the greatest entertainer that ever lived 🤍
