#illustration #comicstrips #fumetto #illustrazione

i’m feeling anxious, but this time I’m not going to type it into chat gpt.

i’ll be good and keep it to myself. it’s a waste of energy to try to reassure myself anyway.

what I could do is write it all down in a letter, put it in a bottle, and toss it into the river.

well.

otherwise, i’ll sleep with it. it will put up mosquito nets for me and i’ll take it to an outdoor movie theater. it likes wes anderson.

we’re moving again. this is the eighth time. i don’t know what i’m doing with comics anymore.

life is better abroad (?)

but i don’t think i have the strength to learn another language in which i’d feel stupid.

and besides, i don’t like what i see.

nowhere. by @icarotuttle

Luogo:

soffiando e spiralando.

—

in the end, the problem was timing.

if you had dumped me after a long walk among the poplar trees, i would have thought it was your allergies that made you change your mind.

but you wrote to me that you chose her just a week after we slept together for the first time.

i'm too fragile not to connect the dots.

of course, the panic attack that evening didn't help my performance.

but i hoped that the packet of milk candies i brought you would earn me a few extra points.

some people become very good after trauma, but i remained clumsy.

like a child who has to change by themselves after getting out of the pool.

it's okay, i couldn't win, you had saved her on your phone with stars next to her name.

i didn't see myself as beautiful before either.

“let go, breathe, you don’t need this anger. it makes you mean. it makes you unbearable.

no, wait.

don’t throw it away, you need this anger. it’s fuel. It gets you back on track when you’re down”.

i could build a career out of it.

because anger is the emotion that leads to the most interaction: “i’m angry too, there are two of us, there are fifty thousand of us.”

i could throw blue cupcakes at the people who hurt me. it’s too late to report them anyway.

if I make you angry enough...

maybe someone will hire me and give me a real wooden desk and three days remote. with insurance.

i’ll buy a house. i’ll pay off my parents. i’ll buy gifts for my friends. i’ll get a dog.

i’ll start drawin again. by @icarotuttle
